Mon chien 100lbs ne tire pas vraiment mais avec ce licou c’est la belle vie. Lui et moi on marche longtemps. Ça ne l’empêche pas de manger, jouer... et moi je n’ai pas une bursite à la fin!

Poor fit. Only the head area can be adjusted but not the muzzle one.

So I had purchased the black version and it worked wonderfully for my pit mix Axel however it was too large despite sizing recommendations so I decided to order a size down and went with the red this time. Turns out there is something in the red version (dye most likely) that my guy is allergic too. We had used the black one for some time before switching to the red. The red one causes sever redness to his skin around his eyes/mouth and a bit of swelling. He is a brindle guy and one can easily see the redness in the black membrane around eyes & through his fur! At first thought it was a bug bite/sting even went to vet and confirmed allergic reaction to something requiring multiple injections and 5 days of Benadryl. After symptoms resolved (thinking it was a bite still) we resumed use (refrained due to the facial discomfort from the reaction) and symptoms flared back up with in 10 minutes of use! Washed it and will attempt one more trial of these symptoms resolve but for now I DO NOT RECCOMEND FOR DOGS WITH SENSITIVE SKIN!*UPDATE*Through process of elimination trials & trying on my other dog it is most definitely the harness! Tried my black one again, tried different environments, and tried another brand all with no reaction. Washed the red one & had almost instant reactions on both of my dogs. Emailed seller.

Very pleased with this. It is stronger and more secure than the HALTI equivalent and is easier to fit and adjust. Our great dane seems happy enough with it

These halters work well and have cushioned nose straps, unlike the Gentle Leaders, which work but tend to rub my dogs’ noses raw. The ‘public perception factor’ is better, too, as we don’t have people either chastising us for a cruel head guard or fearful that our dogs are ‘muzzled’ because they’ll bite! These look like what they are, head halters. I like that the nose piece is cushioned, I don’t like that the fit is very limited in adjustment capability, and that only for around the neck. The muzzle fit is not adjustable. Ordered twice to get a good fit... muzzle circumference on the site chart isn’t the whole story when ordering. Breed of dog matters. Our labs have a long, slender muzzle and take a medium size even though the sizing directions indicate a large. Similar thing with our Golden—sizing chart indicated small, but he, too, needed a medium for his short, broad muzzle.

I'll be comparing this to the Gentle Leader since that's the most popular and abundant when it comes to head halters. I'd like to start by saying that I started using a head halter because my dog started pulling and would get rambunctious during walks. First, I like that it feels more like a harness on my dogs head, I'll attach photos for reference purposes. The gentle leader dangles several inches, but this does not so my dog does not trip over the leash or have the leash go between his legs as much. The gentle leader is typically tight around the nose to prevent from coming off, but this does not but because it's thicker so it still won't slip off my dogs nose. My dog hated the gentle leader and would run and hide from it, but I've noticed that he'll come right up to me and wait for me to put this halter on. I noticed that it was harder for my dog to open up his mouth while wearing the gentle leader, this halter does not prevent him from doing things like drinking water. I only have 3 issues with this halter, hopefully over time I'll be proven wrong.*First issue, the stitching seems a little cheap compared to the gentle leader. This halter has one row of stitching where as the gentle leader uses a square w/ X pattern. I feel that if this halter fails while walking my dog, it will be due to the stitching.*Second issue, the materials seem cheaper. The gentle leaders buckle and nylon seem a lot more thicker and more sturdy. Hopefully over time this doesn't matter and the material withstands my dogs abuse.*Third, this halter runs big. I measured my dogs neck and muzzle and his sizes fell within the large category. I purchased the large but it was just way too big. I hopped back on Amazon and purchased the S and M just to make sure he would fit into one. The medium fits like a glove, but he could use the small if the neck strap was a tad bit larger. I suggest that everyone buys one size smaller to prevent having to return/exchange/purchasing a new one.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase I just wish they had medium size in blue. I hope this last a long time, and I will be buying my second dog a halter as well.

I bought this halter in XL for my 1 year old American Bulldog. He has decided to try to challenge every barking dog we pass on walks and it was getting out of hand. After a particularly difficult walk last week where I had to have my friend walk my smaller dog so I could focus on keeping my larger dog from dragging me around I came home and ordered this. I took his measurements and came up with 14.5 inches for his muzzle so I ordered the XL which says it covers from 12-15 inches. It arrived a day ahead of schedule and the bag was in good shape. Unfortunately when I got it on him it was a bit too large for him. I'm going to put that up to me being bad at taking measurements and not a fault in product sizing. Instead of sending it back I just sewed the neck and nose piece smaller with a needle and thread. Took him on a test walk after spending part of the day getting him used to having something on his face and I am 100% satisfied with this product so far. He tried to pull it off several times but I'd just let him finish his tantrum then continue on. Our walk went incredibly smooth. I took him past several houses with barking dogs and he actually didn't even bother pulling towards them. He perked up his ears and huffed under his breath but a gentle tug on the halter and he'd turn his attention back to me and keep walking. This is probably the best result I've had with a training aid and would definitely recommend it. Definitely helps in the pulling department. My dog can fully open his mouth while wearing this product which I really liked. With this he can still take treats, get a drink, and pant to cool off. This is a 5 star for me even after I had to make some alterations. I just felt it was too much work to return it for a few centimeters in shortened length.
