I still use my Bose portable iPad player but bought this unit to connect to Spotify. So easy to use and looks perfect, well made and I have played my YouTube videos. The sound is just like the concert I recorded. Highly recommend this amazing piece of equipment.

I received a message from this seller that the sound may be due to electromagnetic interference. They advised to try to turn the phone volume up and the volume on the speaker down - this worked. The product works; however right out of the box once connected via bluetooth, there is a loud buzzing sound. The connectivity randomly disconnects. and requires disconnecting from bluetooth and then reconnecting to continue playing. I do play music most of the day so it does get quite a bit of use. However, I have never had an issue with other similar products.

I bought an original Bose SoundDock from a neighbor, and ordered this miraculous little device. So I plugged in the SoundDock, and it just clicked and clicked. Two trips to the internet later, I finally plugged the power cord in the correct orientation on the back of the device. Then the little blue light blinked and I was able to pair it with my iPhone with no problem. But, no sound. Then I unplugged the Bose and replugged, but still, no sound. Back to the internet, and it told me to wait 30 seconds to unplug and plug the device back on again. And VOILA, beautiful, beautiful sound. I am SO stoked! So if at first you don't succeed, fiddle and ask Google.

I bought a used Bose Sounddock speaker with the old 30 pin iPod/iPhone Music Docking Station at a local thrift store and paid a whopping $7 for it. (It was $10, but every Tuesday, geezers such as myself get a 30% discount.) I knew I was taking a $7 chance because it didn’t have the necessary power cord and I couldn’t use the existing docking station for a Bluetooth connection because my new iPhone didn’t fit the older type of 30 pin docking station.I crossed my fingers, hoping for the best, not knowing I could actually swap out the older 30 pin docking station for a new one that would accommodate my iPhone. While shoooing on Amazon, I quickly learned I could, in fact, swap out the old 30 pin docking station for one that was compatible with both my iPhone and the old Bose Sounddock speaker.I ordered the necessary power cord and a new DockLinQ Pro Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter Receiver, plugged it in to the existing docking station and holy moly, the music came on blasting! Beautifully rich music. The richness that Bose is known for.I was (and still am) elated by my find at the thrift shop and by the performance of this device. This little device is a powerhouse and has given new life to an old speaker. I am more than satisfied with my purchase because it gave me a very powerful speaker that would have otherwise been cost prohibitive.I highly recommend this product!Rick in Connecticut

I bought this to provide bluetooth connectivity between my phone and my old Bose sound dock. I plugged it in and had it working in a few minutes. The sound is good. It met all my expectations. I'm giving it 5 stars overall but I'm docking it one star because the volume is a little less than the volume from my old Ipod. I'm mainly writing this review to clarify how the connectivity works because it wasn't clear from the description.1) The bluetooth connection with my android phone was fast and worked first time. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. As I suspected, the one downside is that once set up, it will attempt to connect with your phone every time it comes within range. Obviously, this can be a problem if you want to make or receive phone calls in the house or use another bluetooth speaker as I do. To overcome this, on Android 12.0, swipe down to bring up the quick settings menu, press and hold the bluetooth button, and then press disconnect. To reconnect, repeat but press connect.2) The connection with an Echo dot is bluetooth. I tried connecting to my old first generation Echo and it seemed to connect with the DocklinQ sitting next to the Echo as recommended in the instructions. However, when I moved the DocklinQ Pro to another room plugged it in to the sounddock, the Echo used its internal speaker. I don't know if the old Echo couldn't handle the distance or if it wasn't really bluetooth enabled. It wasn't desirable to have the speaker and microphone from the Echo in different rooms anyway so I removed the connection from my Echo using my Alexa App. My primary purpose for this thing was to use the DocklinQ with my phone so I didn't spend any time trying to debug it.
