This is a vine review meaning the product was provided to be reviewed.This product is a 6 foot display port to VGA video cord for use between a computer and a monitor. It is packed in a glossy white card stock box suitable for gifting if wrapped.I ordered this product because I was setting up a new workstation in my home office with two new monitors ordered from Amazon. The monitors had a sleep function that engaged very quickly, and I wanted an alternative to my second cord which was Display port to HDMI. This product is the perfect alternative because my monitors can accept either HDMI or VGA.To test this product I plugged it in to the display port socket on my docking station and into the VGA socket of my monitor. On the second monitor I used my other cord (display port to HDMI). I turned on the docking station which in turn turned on the laptop, and both monitors came alive with vivid displays. Even though the VGA interface has been around for a long time, it is capable of the same resolution has a basic HDMI computer cable. The product worked perfectly!One caveat to using a VGA cable versus an HDMI Cable is the VGA cable does not carry audio. A separate audio cable (not included) is required if your monitors have speakers.In summary, this product worked perfectly and as well as a HDMI cable. I am glad I ordered it because it allowed me to do a test both interfaces with my monitors.

I have older monitors right now and my new computer only has HDMI and Display Port. The cord is very durable with a braided wire and it looks nice in my white office. I will update as I see how well it continues to work as time goes on.

This 6ft DP to VGA cable works great. I had to use my laptop to connect to an older monitor that only had a VGA port. This Uantin cable adapter works great when needing to connect to older equipment. The ends have a good Aluminum shell and the braided cable is nice. No issues when connecting, no interference and it working great.This is a great adapter to have in your toolbox especially when you do not know what someone has and you need to connect to an external display.
