Trouble Shooting&FAQ

Q1: Why can't two screens connected by VGA cable display different images?

!!!Two monitors connected to the VGA Splitter Cable cannot display different images because their signal sources are the same.

Q2: What should I do if my monitor can only see the background of my computer and not any applications?

Your monitor is now in extended mode, an extension of your computer screen. You can move the content you want to display on the extended screen by dragging the mouse to the right out of the screen range. If you want to switch to mirror mode, you can right-click [Display Settings], and then select [Mirror Mode] in [Multi-Screen Display]. Please note that two monitors connected through a VGA cable can only display the same picture, not different pictures. They can only implement extended mode relative to the source display.

Q3: Why there is no signal or image?

(1)On your computer, please enter [Display]to see if the monitor can be detected.

(2)If it cannot be detected, please check and manually set the monitor to VGA input mode. If your monitor have more than one VGA port, please select the correct one.

(3)Please set appropriate resolution and refresh rate. The upper limit cannot exceed the maximum supported by the monitor. VIDEO RESOLUTION SUPPORT for 800x600 (SVGA), 1024x768 (XGA), 1600x1200 (UXGA).

Trouble Shooting&FAQ

Q4.Why it can’t work with DVI?

VGA is different with DVI Port. This cable is Not compatible with DVI Port.

Q5. Stop working after some time?

Re-plug and make sure all the connection are tight, and then reboot your devices.

Q6. Why is there no sound?

Since VGA is an analog signal and can only receive video signals but not audio signals, this cable cannot transmit audio signals.

Q7. Why my monitor keep flicking?

Check the connection between the cable's VGA port and the source device's VGA female socket. For a better connection, clean the contact ports on the cable and source device.

Q8. Why doesn't my DB9 adapter work?

The DB9 adapter only has 9 pins, while the VGA connector has 15 pins, so it cannot be adapted.

The screens come out a little darker. I assume it's just from dividing the signal so may be something that they all do.

The VGA splitter works perfectly but the shroud is so thick and wide that it blocks the USB ports to the left of the VGA connector which necessitated moving the keyboard and mouse USB to the other side. Not a huge deal so long as the only ports aren't blocked.

I needed to get my security camera feed on monitors located in two separate rooms. I first hooked up one monitor directly to one side of the "Y", the security images were great, I then hooked a 50' VGA cable to the second side of the"Y", my monitor immediately had a "ghost image" effect, I thought maybe that it wouldn't work for my needs, but after looking the problem up on the web, it Said that this happens when you hook up the "Y" to a "dead end" cable. Once I connected the 50' cable to the second monitor, the "ghosting effect" disappeared, and the images on both monitors are as good as they were on the single monitor prior to the installation of the splitter and 50" Cable. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a second, remote monitor. 👍👍

I ordered this item without totally reading the entire description and usage. The item does as it says, it mirrors your screen. No connection issues, plug and go. The only this is I needed it to Extend my screen, so that is something it does not do BUT I when purchasing thought it did. I will be returning it, as I have purchased the correct item from the same seller.

This VGA splitter works, but not always. Depending on your monitors and/or other hardware, sometimes, there's not enough signal to adequately supply both devices. One monitor may "absorb" more of the signal, while the other monitor or capture device may be black or nearly so. This does NOT amplify the VGA signal coming in.

This product didn't work for me. I watched several youtube videos to see what I could change on my computer to make it work but didn't have the options to extend the screen rather than have them as mirror images. I finally had a computer tech come by to try to make them work and he advised me that splitters often don't work and it's best to have 2 separate cables from the computer. Unfortunately, I waited 2 days too long to return it so I can't return it either. :(
