Love these dino eggs!! My kids always have so much fun digging and chiseling. I've purchased them several times and will likely get more.

Bought these for my grandson and kept him occupied for quite a bit - he only did 4. Very MESSY - not a big deal for me but be prepared!! He definitely had fun and was thrilled.Tools that came with kit were not the best and will probably switch out with wooden cuticle stills or wooden popsicle sticks and a cheap paintbrush

We had so much fun discovering the dinosaurs within inside the eggs. It was fun and great to watch our little ones figure out creative ways to break apart the rock to expose the dinosaur. The combination of learning about the various different dinosaurs and having the kids play mini archaeologist was totally worth it. A great present idea and useful way to keep the kids occupied for a few hours.

We got these to go in our party favor bags for a birthday party. Several of the eggs had no dinosaurs. We got lucky that the kids who decided to excavate their eggs at the party were the ones who had no dinos so we were able to replace them with the eggs from bags of kids that didn't show. If we hadn't had extra then those kids would have been without, that's very frustrating!

My kids love this kit, chalk is a big hard to crack. But nice idea and fun outside. Can draw with the chalk afterwards

My child is going to be 4 soon and he received this gift from Santa. Today he spent over 2 hours working on the egg while I worked. Is it messy? Yes, but the dust is easy to clean up and well worth the time he played with it.

My 3 kids love these. (Ages 3 to 7). The only downside side is the mess. Better to do outside. Where you can hose or blow it off.

I got these for my three year old’s birthday. I know they are meant for older ages, but he has seen Blippi fossil dig eggs for dinosaurs like this and I knew he’d love it. You can use the tools and break an egg open while it’s dry or you can soak the egg for 5 minutes and break it open wet. It’s a lot easier to do when wet, and my son was able to one by himself that way. We’ve opened up about 7 of them total and he’s needed my help with 6 of them. We use the tool provided, but we also use some fake tools from my son’s tool kit for a little extra help. It is a VERY messy activity, especially when the egg has been soaked. We do it inside at a table in a plastic bin or outside. Afterwards you’ve got to wipe everything and everyone down. My son loves it, and while sometimes it can be a long and tough process with lots of complaints in between, I feel like it’s a good activity that teaches patience and perseverance. I think it’s definitely worth the price and love that they give you plenty of eggs. My son also likes learning about each dinosaur with the cards they include. Some of the wording on the cards don’t make sense, but we just laugh about it!
