Ordered June 28, nowhere to be found. Hard to rate a product not in hand, but, this is not our first order of DIG- 1/4" tubing. It is a solid product, if you can get it.

I had some harder hose like this that was almost impossible to insert fittings into. I had to soak that hose in hot water for quite a while, and it was still tough. Also, I has some very soft hose that was easy to insert fittings into, but they popped off when it got hot outside. This is a nice medium hardness hose. The fittings will go on with some effort, but none have popped off yet. This is Texas, with 100-108 every day. So far so good

It's a major project to use standard 1/4" connectors, tees, emitters, etc., with this product. It is vinyl, so it should be more flexible that the less expensive polyethylene tubing, but pushing the fittings into this tubing is almost impossible unless you heat up the tubing end every time, which I do with a small blowtorch. A major nuisance, and hard on the hands.

This stuff is still far better than the poly hose, far easier to put on the sprinklers and other connectors. But it is not nearly as soft as it used to be. I have been buying this same product from DIG for 6 or 8 years. They have changed their formulation.

I have used the poly type before. The vinyl is much more flexible and easier to work with. haven't had the line break. The poly versions seemed to break occasionally because of pressure or being stepped on. If I turn the water on too fast, the line that warms up in the sun pops off. All I have to do is turn the water off, push it back on, and slowly turn the water back on. We have strong water pressure here. I could run a restricter and fix the issue but I have several sprayers and those on the back side wouldn't get enough pressure for the soaker hose. Easier to assemble and I haven't had to repair it so it is definitely an upgrade over the old (poly) line

DIG is just the best drip stuff. We have this same tube in southern-facing flower beds in sun-drenched Denver for 15+ years. The old tubing is hardened and even blackened in places but can still be bent without breakage. Not many plastic products can do this.
