PNW cat

After a brutally hot summer in the Pacific Northwest, I've returned to using drippers in my vegetable garden. This 1/4-inch dripline has well-spaced drippers for veggies, and it was easy to install. This time around, I softened the dripline in a pot of very hot water for a minute and then pulled it straight, getting some of the curl out. This made for a much neater installation in my raised beds.

I'm done with pushing and prodding barbs and emitters onto that finicky 1/4" line. This line seems to plug less often in our hard water, and the watering is very uniform. It's a little more expensive, but just also works better.

So easy to put water exactly where you want it. So efficient with water use! I wish I could find about 50' more feet with about 3-4" spacing for smaller row plants in my little garden. The 6" spacing is great for bigger plants though.

Have used 1/4-inch drip line for years to irrigate a "large" 20'x60' garden in southwestern metro Denver. However, this drip line with emitters spaced every 6 inches is VERY hard to find in the local big box stores, but viola it is available from trusty Amazon online. This technology is the ultimate in "plug and play" drip irrigation because the emitters don't clog up with soil/debris over time and can be left out in the garden over winter with no problems. Emitter spacing at 6 inches is perfect for a wide range of irrigated crops from radishes to red raspberries. Also, this drip line is very easy to install and maintain.

Product was exactly what we were looking for. Worked great for our application under spruce trees to provide water to surface roots as landscapers only put drip waterers at the trunk leaving surface roots to dry out once trees became established. We replaced 2 of 3 drippers at each trunk with this drip line and extended one midway and one to the perimeter of the tree line. This tubing provided 6" spacing of the drippers rather than the more common 12" spaccing and provided more even soaking.

This was way too expensive and will price it elsewhere next time. I like the 6" spacing but not the price.Wish drip lines were a bit more flexible so the connectors are easier to insert. But, I guess then the hose wouldn't be a durable.
