About this item

  • Unbelievably Compact and Powerful - Based on our customers' needs on small-sized infrared illuminators for their medium range applications, Tendelux nailed it. DI10 is only 1/2 the size of BI8 (our 8W model) and yet provides more illumination for your CCTV cameras to obtain crystal clear images at night.
  • Redefining "Even Illumination" - With the tailored design integrated lens, the IR lights are more efficiently and evenly spread on your camera's field of view. No more "hot-spot" and washed-out pictures.
  • EASY Angle Adjustment - With the new style mounting 360-degree swivel and 90 degree tilting bracket, now you no longer have the trouble in adjusting the lighting angle horizontally. It's also made of premium aluminum which doesn't age rapidly under the sun like these plastic types.
  • Sleek look & Effective Cooling System - The DI10 infrared light features a unibody design which is a combination of an effective cooling system and an especially modern styling, ensuring stability and tightness, making it a sweeter match with your camera. The specially created housing guarantees the long working life of the unit.
  • What You Get - 1x DI10 850nm Infrared Illuminator with 360-degree adjustable stand, 1x 110-240Vac to 24V DC 1A power adapter (2023 updated from 12V DC ones to avoid pressure drop and loss of brightness after using long extension cable), installation screws, 1x user manual, 18-month warranty, and lifetime friendly support from Tendelux.

after service

Free of Maintenance

Once the lamp is installed properly, the built-in photocell sensor will turn it on at dusk and off at dawn. It's energy saving and there's no need of maintenance.

Warm Tips

1. Make sure that your camera is sensitive to 850nm infrared light.
2. Make sure that the illumination angle matches your camera's FOV. 90° illuminator normally pairs with camera of 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 4mm lens.
3. Make sure to turn off the "IR cut filter" in your camera which will filter out external infrared light.
4. Be aware that the effective distance achieved shall vary because of different cameras and installation environments.
5. 850nm lamp is semi-covert and NOT 100% invisible, it gives red glow which is invisible when more than 5 feet away from the light.
6. For OUTDOOR applications, please make sure that the PSU is protected by a weatherproof box and the DC connection is sealed with electrical tape.
7. If you need the lamp to work in the daytime, please cover the photocell with black tape.
8. November 2023 - We have replaced the former 12V DC power supplies with 24V DC ones to avoid pressure drop and loss of brightness after using long extension cable. The lamp itself works on both 12V and 24V DC input.

I have 3 of your Tendelux DI10 IR Illuminator | Medium Range Infrared Flood Light for Security Camera (w/Power Adapter) that have failed, 3 have failed and one for the second timeI have done all the troubleshooting requested last time. Replace the power supply, checked the cable, etc.It says it has an 18-month warranty. These are located inside my house so they are not subjected to outside environment.I have larger ones but the small ones keep failingI would not buy these againUpdate!Custom Service made this right and replaced the power supplies which were the only issue. With the right PS the Illuminators work great!I will be a returning customer since the actual illuminators work great with my Unifi camera system

Not disclosed in description in listing - only in manual in the box! Only a 30' beam. You need the DI20 for a 90' beam!

UPDATED AGAIN -- I got a full replacement item from Tendeluxe and all I needed was the newer 24VDC power supply. I went in the attic and replaced the power supply and the light is fully back in service. Now I have a spare light in case that is ever needed, greateful for the extra mile in service/support -- Thank You Tendelux!UPDATED -- It has been installed for just under 15 months. It has worked VERY WELL and its IR light power is great. But I now observe it at night by watching the IR lighted area from a camera that the IR light has failed and sporadically flashes just enough that it looks like it is trying to work but will not. The flashes I see remind me of a flash from a photo camera but the flashes come irregularly, sometimes brightly and sometimes very dimly but always in very short in duration. Sometimes it flashes approx each 5 seconds or 15 seconds. I have requested warranty support. Whether it is a power supply or the light itself, something needs replacement. After a very responsive email with customer support, they thought it was the older power supply and he would immediately send me a replacement. I thought he was just sending a newer 24Vdc power supply and I end up getting a complete new replacement! As I had said - it shines great - lights up a very large part of my backyard and deck like daylight (when seen from a nighttime IR camera of course). My neighbor also got one I can see his yard from my cameras also. These things really extend the light range of typical cameras a lot. I bumped up my rating since I like the product and the support is without question.

I have 2 installed so far. One failed after a while (I forget how long) but I was sent a no-questions-asked replacement! So, 10/10 for great customer support and service. The 2nd unit later stopped working as well. I played around with a few power supply setups and found that it would not light up when plugged in via a DC extension cable. I now see that as of November 2023, they have upgraded the power supply from 12VDC to 24VDC, as that appears to have been a common problem.Sadly, my units are all pre-November. In this instance, I used an AC extension cord to bring the PSU to within reach of the standard, attached power cord, and that unit is now working again.Unfortunately, the replacement unit that was sent to replace the first failed unit is now emitting a buzzing sound (and is running quite hot, I notice) - I don't know if this is an early indicator of failure.Perhaps I can reach out to the customer service team and see if they will send me 24V PSUs, as that seems to be a key improvement.I note that they say "850nm lamp is semi-covert and NOT 100% invisible, it gives red glow which is invisible when more than 5 feet away from the light." - I can certainly see the LEDs from way more than 5ft away (clear across my driveway - at least 30-40' from inside my house) but the driveway itself is not "glowing" - so perhaps they mean no *radiated* light is visible, but the individual LEDs are certainly visible from far away, so not as covert as claimed, if this is critical to your application. For my use, I don't mind that people can see that they're being observed when on my property :) Heck, by the time they're in my driveway, having opened a gate to get there, they'd better have a good reason to be there! Finally, as for performance; 2 units light up my backyard and driveway very effectively, to provide good IR illumination for my Unifi camera. I had to disable the Unifi's built-in IR, because it caused a lot of false motion alerts due to bugs (that are clearly attracted to IR) showing up as very bright objects flitting in front of the lens. By placing the Tendelux unit just a few centimetres (yes, I speak both measurements :)) away from the camera, I no longer have that issue at all. The bugs may still be there, but they don't show up on the camera. It's fun to watch skunk, racoon, possum & neighbourhood cats wandering around my garden at night :) It's also reassuring that my property is well illuminated for the camera, without poisoning the night sky with more visible spectrum light (not to mention the power saving of having to run a bunch of outdoor lights all night.)I will probably buy more of these (maybe try a long-range model as well) as I add cameras. Right now, I just don't have a good way to get power to the other camera (it is self-powered over ethernet) location, so I have to rely on it having not so great illumination.Update 2024-03-04: upping to 5 stars because of stellar service. One of my power bricks was buzzing/whining; support jumped on it quickly, and sent a whole new light with the newly updated 24V power brick. Buzzing solved! Thanks for really standing by your product!

This illuminator adds light to my Dahua 2.8mm eyeball / turret security camera. The issue is that the light projects a band or strip of light as opposed to flooding the area as described by distance coverage area. I would go up to a larger format 120° vs this 90° illuminator for something like a driveway or backyard. This would suffice for the front door or similar smaller enclosed area but not the coverage or distance as described here. P.S. unit gets very hot ok for cool ambient temperature but wonder about longevity come hot ambient summer temps.
