It’s probably as cheap as you can go while still having a working extension tube. Feels flimsy, manufacturing tolerances are kind of meh. But if all you need is something for getting additional standoff on a weird lens you’re putting on an adapter that physically won’t fit to your camera otherwise… look no further.

It is counterintuitive and almost impossible to master using. Stay away from these as an option unless you really wnt to be frustrated learning a new gimmick for your camera work. These are well-made, and do exactly what they are supposed to do. However, what they do is bad. Just buy a better lense or really enjoy working with added lighting.

For the money paid, this is a good value as it does what it's supposed to do. However, the build quality isn't the very best. In my case, the 21mm adapter failed to connect with the camera and would not focus. The other two adapters worked fine, even in combination.

I ended up taking the time connecting and disconnecting these over and over until they were not so tight. But over all perfect for what I needed.

These allow you to get closer to your subject than you can with the lens alone. It is not a doubler like a few of the reviewers seemed to think. They don't change your lens. They change the distance between the body of your camera to the lens.Attached between my Canon D5s and 40mm prime macro lens I was able to get 1.34 inches from my subject and have crystal clear focus. Then attached between that same lens and my Canon Rebel T7 (relatively cheap crop frame) I was able to get 1.2 inches away from the subject, though it took a full stop more timing to get a clear photo with other settings the same.If you're needing a cheap way to improve the macro capabilities of your existing lenses these are a great alternative. They don't replace high end macro lenses by any stretch of the imagination. For what these are they're great and are going to have a permanent place in my camera bag.Photos are of a medicine bottle 1.2" from the 40mm macro lens with all 3 of the extensions on the T7 body. The first at F2.8 and the second at F22

The construction and quality of this tube are pretty much what you expect. The design is pleasing to the eye, and the weight of the tubes is completely non-existent.But, my major complaint is that at the connection end of the tube, there is a squared frame that turns my circular lens into a strange circle with cropped edges....I bought this tube set to work with an optical spot that uses a 75-300 lens, but it reshapes my light. I wondered then if all extension tubes were shaped this way, looked at the set in my macro kit and found that the tubes didn't have a squared-off frame...I don't know why this tube is made that way...but I don't care. It renders it unusable for my purposes, and I also don't understand why all the product images are taken at an angle that masks this design flaw. On a second look, you can tell, once you know to look for it...but it doesn't make sense to me. I am returning the product for this reason.

Everything came together with these extension rings. Everything stayed in autofocus - I've got the D-80 with zoom.

At first I was actually doubting getting good performance from it. At first it feels light and plastic which to me translates to cheap. I went ahead and placed it on my canon 5D mark iii and took a few shots shown in the photo and to my amazement worked great! If you want to get into macro photography this is a good start!
