I've started my working career as a fisherman before joining the service that led to becoming a merchant seaman. During seasonal breaks, I filleted fish for Caruso's fish market in Sausalito when I was on fish boats. These were all we used. I would never use any other. They are used in canneries, fish processor boats etc. They are the BEST!

I received this knife at a great price. I have used Dexter-Russell knives in the past so i am familiar with their sharpness and quality. This one does not dissapoint. The long blade is perfect to fillet any fish. Be careful these knives are razor sharp!

You really can't beat the value of this filet knife. I was looking at the Bubba Blade and they tend to run about $100. You can get this knife and it comes sharp enough to shave with, for under $40. The knife is nothing fancy, but it does the job. The knife and sheath is light and easy to carry on a belt. It sharpens up really nice and has a good flex to it. Its easy to clean too. Look no further and fish beware.
