Works as it should. Easy to use, and cuts better than other units of it's type

Its a well made tool and good for "ripping" metal siding or roofing, but not a large enough throat to get up and over any ridges or seams. Also leaves a nasty kind of edge if it's struggling at all, as the reciprocating acting rubs any paint off of the siding on both the finished side and the offcut. Wishing I spent the extra and bought a steel nibbling tool.

Je l’utilise pour couper des morceaux ou bande de stratifié utilisé dans la fabrication de meuble. Coupe très bien si on ne pousse pas trop sur la vitesse. Nettement plus efficace qu’un couteau traditionnel.

Works like a charm. Love it! The cuts are clean and this tool is easy to manipulate. Unbeatable price from Amazon. I recommend!

The tool was a little difficult to position on a flat piece of mild 22 gauge mild steel. If I positioned just right it cut very well. Upon inspection I found that one of the blades was not ground correctly which caused the tool not to sit flat. I called DeWalt support and they confirmed the blade was not ground correctly. I’m returning the tool and Amazon is replacing, the only issue is a 3 week lead time, hopefully it will improve and I’ll give an update, maybe 4 or 5 stars next time

Im a hvac service tech and will do an occasional install. These work great on the metal of the furnace for the return. Works good for sheetmetal as well. Good control and speed. My only minor complaint is that the opening of the sheer, i wish was.a little bit larger to help get it started.

Takes a little practice and if you get in hurry, it is real difficult to make a straight cut. But take your time and keep the speed down to allow great control on level and non-level metal (such as the ribs in metal roofing). These have been a real life saver and leave a curl of metal with only a very slight rough edge. Much better than tin snips.

Definitely better than a pair of handheld shears, there's no comparison there. But there is a bit of a learning curve in how to tilt the tool optimally so it advances through the metal stock easily. Tends to mar to the sides of what you are cutting, if that is a concern or not.Overall, I am pleased with it.
