About this item

  • Easily cut corrugated mild steel with ease
  • Attach to any drill to navigate cross cuts in metal roofing panels
  • Versatile and PortableMade in the USA
  • Makes easy cross-cuts in corrugated metal roofing
  • Fits cordless or corded drills
  • Lightweight with compact telescoping drill clamp
  • Long lasting blades are also easily replaceable
  • Dril Requirements: 1/4 Chuck, Min 14.4V DC, Max 7A AC

The telescoping drill clamp fits drills and impact drivers large and small-including newer lithium-ion models. The recent redesign allows the tool to rotate 360-degrees and lock into position. The adjustment wrench now stores with the tool, preventing loss. The hex shank drive shaft attaches directly into the chuck of any drill or impact driver. The TSCM makes fast cross-cuts, lengthwise trim cuts, and circular or square outlet holes, in large or small corrugated patterns and other non-standing-seam panels including trapezoidal (box) profiles. Elongated offset blades with compact jaws allow the drill handle or battery pack to clear the roofing panel surface as the TSCM head follows the rising angle of corrugations and other angled profiles. A sleek, lightweight aluminum-cast shear head and compact molded polymer drill clamp allows maximum portability and ease to go wherever the work is. The shear can operate at high or low speeds for the control you need to follow a precise cut line. Hardened carbon steel blades combine to offer long service life in 30 to 24-gauge (0.31 - 0.61 mm) roofing panel metal. A lateral blade adjustment capability ensures that optimum cutting performance and maneuverability can be maintained for the life of the blades. Replacement blades TSCMRB

I used this to cut my garage corrugated metal roof back a few inches to install gutters. It took me I swear no time at all to go the 30ft length. Highly recommend!

These shears work extremely well. Very maneuverable and easy to use. Very sharp and cut steel siding and roofing safely. Fit my Dewalt drill with ease.

Just got this and haven't done my roofing project with it yet. Did some testing and seems great. Very thick blades and super sharp. Cuts through metal roofing material like it was paper. Easy to maneuver and quick. Seems very well built and fits on drill solidly

Bought this to cross cut 26ga 7/8" corrugated metal. Cuts the metal easily and well. The angle of the shear is so low that the handle of the different drills we tried hit the metal when climbing out of a corrugation. Also, the clamps keep slipping off of the drills. We will need to glue/screw/modify our drills to be able to keep the shear on. The concept is correct. Good quality. But a couple design issues that need to be corrected to work properly

These are amazing! They are easy to install on my drill bit and cut right through the corgilated galvanize steel panels for my roof easily like butter! A must have for DIY projects

Good value because your not buying another electric or battery operated tool. The drill you already own, cordless or not adapts to this shear. But more importantly it cuts the corrugation with little effort.

I found the clamping system fairly inadequate. The shears work well, but the way it attaches to the drill is too limiting.

These shears work excellent for cutting metal roofing. They do have to held at just the right angle to make the cut go easier. A must have if you work as a roofer.

I used this while constructing a boat shelter and an RV shelter, both roofed and sided with corrugated steel roofing panels. It would still not be done had I not purchased this easy to use tool. It takes a very few minutes to figure out just how to use it and I'd recommend a few practice cuts, but once you get the hang of it, it goes very quickly through the steel panels and it also cuts through polycarbonate panels like a hot knife through butter. This works just great!!

I definitely couldn't get it to work on corrugated steel roofing panels like the video showed. I had trouble with it continually loosening up in the jaws so I had to tighten the blades. A nice thing about it is the allen wrench you use to tighten the jaws stores right on the unit which is great because those kinds of things tend to get lost if you can't keep it with the tool. It was easy to fit to my DeWalt 20V cordless drill and impact driver. It was kinda hard to tighten the chuck on the drill because of the clear plastic sleeve that fits around it and even harder to remove from the impact driver for the same reason. You have to pull back on the plastic sleeve while pulling the collar around the bit on the impact driver while simultaneously pulling on the shears to get them loose. After that, I just stuck with the drill.Ergonomically speaking, it makes your drill heavy and it's really hard to navigate up and down the humps in the steel - especially using a battery-operated drill. You just don't have the room to angle the back of the drill down far enough to attack the humps in the steel at the right angle to make it cut with a big 20V battery in the way. This would probably be ok for small cuts in flat steel, but it definitely doesn't work too great for cutting up and down the humps that roofing panels have. I was cutting 29 gauge steel so I was well within the limits of its cutting thickness. As far as the cut quality goes, it does cut very cleanly with very little roughness on the edge compared to a saw blade. I'm going to keep it because it will definitely come in handy for making small cutouts for pipes, etc. It just didn't work that well for my purposes of cutting multiple steel roofing panels to length even though it is touted as being for corrugated steel. I ended up just getting a steel cutting circular saw blade which was much faster and made a better cut.

This is a very good tool, however when using it on thicker metals it is a bit tricky and a little more challenging than in the video.I used it on 26ga roofing panels and found that I could get a cleaner cut if I made the cut twice. The first cut to separate the desired piece leaving a quarter to a half an inch of material that is then trimmed off.The cutter should be positioned so the scrap is on the right side and bends down and out of the way as the cut is made, if the tool hangs up it has a tendency to mar the material on the right which is the scrap and not the material on the left, leaving a cleaner cut.Had I known this initially I would have had much better results and saved a lot of time.It also helps to have a helper available to position the material and hold it as the cut is made and if the jaws do not appear to be cutting properly try tightening the adjusting screw. It will be the first thing I grab for anything but a small cut.
