The adhesive on these protectors seems to work very well on at least two or three types of surfaces. The cloth material in my recliner will need the included twist pins to prevent peel off over time. I have attached one large sheet to an area of painted sheet rock, which seems to be sticking well and not needing any additional support. Also, they seem to work well on stained wood. The only problem I had with these sheets was because of the cold weather they were exposed to during shipping. They were very tightly wrapped and took a couple of days for me to get them to be able to lay flat. Thanks for reading my review, I hope it helps!P.S. I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, but this does not affect my review at all. We are always required and encouraged to leave accurate, honest reviews for the products we receive. If I notice any issues other than what I have mentioned and shown above, then I will come back and update my review.

These are great! Really sticky and my cat hates it. So it definitely works! I use them to keep my cat from jumping on the counter.

Even having a house full of scratch pads, my furniture falls prey to cat claws. I needed something that was going to curb any further damage, but not look so obvious. These vinyl sheets work great. They come rolled up in a sleeve and include a scraper and cushion pins. It was nice to have different sizes to accommodate varying needs of coverage. For any custom shapes, it's easy to cut with a pair of scissors. The peel and stick holds up to most surfaces. If there's a problem holding onto a special fabric, there are cushion pins to keep the sheets in place. I personally didn't use them because I didn't want to put anymore holes in the couch. It's been a couple weeks and everything has held up so far. I can see slightly where the cats have tried to dig in but failed. The adhesive is still strong too. This gives me hope that the extra material is going to last quite a while. If you're looking for a good claw barrier, look no further.

We've used similar products before to thwart my determined cat from scratching furniture. This material sticks fine to our fabric couch and has already prevented our cat from scratching a spot she was eyeballing on the couch. Unfortunately, it doesn't stick particularly well to some fabric curtains we have. Our cat has a tendency to grab the corner of the curtains with her paw to pull it back so she can stick her head in and peer out the window. But this has led to the edge of the curtain beginning to fray. After cutting off the stray strings on the curtain, I tried to stick this to it, but it has a really hard time sticking to the material. And it's doubly strange because it's a similar material to what the couch is made from.I would recommend this for furniture - not so much for curtains.

4/5 stars for me. Protects my couch from my cats and is barely noticeable. Only con is that it does not stick very well so you’ll have to use the pins provided.

I bought these to cover up a couple of areas on my couch and within 24 hours of putting them on they started to peel off. I don’t recommend this product for couches.
