Recently, we noticed a change in the taste of our coffee, prompting us to conduct a thorough descaling and cleaning process. Simultaneously, we decided to install purchase and install a new filter, as we were nearing the recommended two-month replacement interval.The replacement filter, acquired from Amazon at a more cost-effective rate compared to the DeLonghi website, arrived in a sealed DeLonghi box. Upon inspection, we observed distinct differences between the new filter and the original one that came with the machine. Notably, the new filter is taller and exhibits slight variations in its shape.After installing the new filter, we brewed a fresh cup of coffee and found that the taste returned to its normal, delightful profile. This positive outcome, coupled with the cost savings, leaves us with no complaints, and we would gladly consider purchasing this filter again.For your reference, I have attached photos for a side-by-side comparison of the new and original filters, with the new filter on the left.
