Works OK, but definetly feels very rudimentary and cheaply made. Used it for a brake job on dual piston Porsche calipers. Mechicaly this tool got the job done on a budget so no complaints there. My unit arrived with one of the Chinesium spreader blades pre-bent (see pictures) and unfinished product patina look. Decided against being it back as I wasn't sure if it could handle the stress. Thankfuly due to +/- 3mm build tollerances, the bent parts did not cause any binding concerns in the mechanisms. Metal plate edges had a "rough cut finish" which add to the used tool look right out of the box!

It did the job just fine. It deflects a little bit. All these tools depend on the setup of your vehicle

I have a 3rd Gen Tacoma and was needing to do the front brakes. Toyota made it super easy to swap out the pads but you need some way to spread open the quad calipers. From reviews I was worried this wouldn't have the beef or wideness to work for my quad calipers but they are beefy and wide enough to do the job no problem. I am glad i didn't fall for the reviews and spring for the spreaders everyone says are the ones to get that cost like 3x more. If you are even modestly adept mechanically these will do the job for you if you are swapping out your pads in a 3rd gen taco.

The metal is too soft. Instead of pressing the pistons out, it just bent. Not worth spending any amount of money on.

Used on a B9.5 S5 with big brakes. Works like a charm. Buy these not the cheaper ones.

If you've done a brake job without a spreader, you know what fun it is to spend weeks healing from the damage done to your hands by brake calipers and associated pieces all trying to remove as much flesh as they possibly can. If only we all had a third hand, this unit would work perfectly. It does require a bit of skill to maneuver with just two, however. Once in place and with some tension, it really cranks and doesn't flex like the cheapo unit do. This is a "for life" tool meaning you won't ever have to replace it if used properly and is good enough quality to leave it in plain sight when your mechanic friends come over to nose around in your stuff.

This product worked great for resetting my 2021 Subaru STI caliper pistons. When using it, make sure the flat plates are aligned properly to the pistons and turn at a moderate pace to avoid damage to your calipers or item.Side note:In honesty, I was first skeptic to buy this because of some reviews commenting it breaks easily. After receiving it, using it, and judging the quality of this item, I can't understand how some people are breaking them. Unless they're are not using it correctly or trolling. In the end, I recommend this for whenever you replace your brake pads. It's handy and convenient to have.

This is a very simple tool that works perfectly if you know what you're doing. The price is fair, and it will last you a lifetime for whenever you need to use it on calipers. I used mine in a 2013 Mercedes S550, to do the front and rear brakes.
