XT Nickel bass strings offer enhanced strength, better pitch stability, and longer-lasting performance than standard bass guitar strings. The XT coating provides advanced corrosion resistance, while still retaining the bright tone and natural feel of an uncoated bass string. Beneath the coating, XT Nickel bass guitar strings are constructed with a NY Steel core, nickel-plated steel wrap wire, and Fusion Twist technology, resulting in added resilience and tonal versatility, excellent for a wide range of musical styles. Made for 6-string basses, this 32-130 Regular Light set takes our most popular gauge and adds a low B-string on the bottom, as well as a high C-string on top.

1st change of strings in 4 years. Past ones were D’Addario. Cannot fault them.

Maybe not as bright as I prefer, but they feel good to play. The intonation and tuning stability is great. 1 star off for now - if they last like elixirs they get the five. Of course daddario make great strings, so I fully expect to be putting that last star on.

Fender Ultra Jazz 5 string player. I have been using uncoated D'addario nickel roundwounds for decades. They would be dead in about a week of rehearsals and gigs. Using high end cabs with sensitive tweeters, I'd have to reduce the treble on the amp after installing a new set because it was just too much rattle and bite. These are great out of the pack with the eq flat....and the new string tone stays the same for WEEKS instead of days. Even the low B doesn't go dead after 1 gig, wow. Great feel, great slap tone. Something about them makes passive pickups sound epic also. A money saver for a gigging bassist. Seriously.

I have been using other brands and lately they become too expensive. I wanted to give it try and they worked out well. I’m not a professional bass player, so for me, makes the difference!

Installed these strings on a Fender Jazz Bass with a set of Fender pure vintage ‘74 pickups. They sound pretty good. They aren’t super bright, not as bright as I was expecting. I’ve been using the non-coated nickel D’Addarios for a very long time. Brand new, this coated set sounds about like what the uncoateds sound like when I start thinking they need to be replaced. But, after a couple of weeks of use, they still sound like that, so I think the longevity is good. They just didn’t sound like brand new strings when they were brand new. They play easy. I like the feel. Some other brands of string can give me right plucking finger blisters after a long rehearsal and these don’t do that. They were reasonably priced. I’ll probably buy them again
