I use this to put mineral oil on my cutting board. It absorbs the oil well and puts a nice coat on the cutting board. It’s easy to use by filling up the cup with oil and using that cup as storage. The handle design makes it comfortable to hold.

I laser engraved a walnut cutting board and used this to apply cutting board wax works pretty good it holds the wax in I found pushing down on it will force the product out so you don’t have to use much

I wish I had purchased one of these when I bought my wooden steak plates. I've been applying butcher block wax by hand, and it is messy and I was using a lot of wax each time. Since I use my steak plates several times a week, I was applying wax to them at least twice a week. I just bought this applicator sponge, and let me tell you it has been amazing! Far less messy than applying by hand, and I use a fraction of the wax.

It works well. If you use too much oil, this item does bleed through the holder so be sure to place this somewhere you don’t mind getting oil on.

I use the DEBETOOL to thinly apply food grade mineral oil on both wooden cutting boards and wooden serving bowls. It helps in using correct amount of oil and spreading a thin layer of mineral oil on both wooden cutting boards and wooden serving bowls. It does the job and the holding cup keeps the applicator from picking up contaminants or leaving oil on unwanted surfaces. Well made tool.
