I have a large butcher block table from Williams Sonoma which we’ve moved 4 times. Happy to find mystery oil and applicator for its upkeep! A light oil mixture which goes on smoothly and easily with the applicator

I got this to help me when I am applying oil to my wood cutting boards. I have always used a soft rag that I just keep in a plastic zip lock and pull it out when I need to oil one of the cutting boards. This does not seem to cover as well as the rag. The applicator is too rough, and I can't get a consistent enough coverage over the surface. It ends up looking like a did it with a stiff paint brush or something. In addition, the applicator doesn't screw into the lid so you have to be careful when picking up as it will come off the cover very easily. I have gone back to the rag instead of using this.

Works very well with linseed oil. Makes it easy to spread the linseed oil without messy application. Would buy again.
