  • Plumbing Protection: Our pipe heating cable uses electricity to heat the entire length of the hose in order to keep the hose above the 59℉ (15°C) so that at -40°F (-40°C) in winter night, the water will flow smoothly through your hose as well, due to ordinary water hose may freeze water due to low temperature
  • Digital Display Thermostat: Our temperature adjustable system not only adjust the temperature range for starting and stopping heating(41°F~59℉/5°C~15°C), but the display reflects the current temperature in real time. And the upgraded temperature sensing probe is also more sensitive than the old version
  • Safety Guaranteed: Operation with 120V and an external ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) power outlet prevents overheating problems due to short circuits, and built-in wires are completely wrapped to avoid our pipe heat cables malfunction due to water seepage
  • Easy Installation: All you need to do is lay our heating tape straight or wrap it around the water pipe and secure it with the supplied fiberglass tape; and if you want to test it, please put the thermostat in ice water, plug it in, wait for a few minutes you can feel the cable heating up

This kit comes with plenty of tape, if you need to remove it and re-install it.The heating element is longer than I really need but better than too short. The tape is a little tricky. It tears very easily on seams like duct tape, but the backing is too tough to tear easily. So be careful when you remove the tape from the backing. And it will tear when you try to remove it from the install.Configuration is easy as well.

Heats up well. I am using outside and it is controller is protected in weather box. So far heating as indicated. I would recommend getting longer if your only need 3 feet like me. Unfortunately the heating portion is not 3 feet. Settings challenging so play around with before going outside in the cold. Also I am using to keep heating oil from Jellying from tank shut off valve to foundation of house. I also protected heating coil from water.

Package came in an unsealed prime padded envelope. Box was open and unsealed. And the plastics were all scratched up? Honestly looked used but because of the weather I can afford to return it and wait for another to come in time.

I'm using this outside on my Geothermal discharge. During below freezing weather I've had freezing problems and insulation will only help a little. The thermostat control makes it easy to keep the discharge valve frost free yet save electricity. Everything needed comes in the box.

I have a section of waterline in my home that has been prone to freezing. Even insulating the pipe didn’t help when temps stayed low for a few consecutive days. I’d wanted to install heat trace but hadn’t made it a priority. Planning ahead for ensuing winter weather, I decided to deal with it once and for all. This heat tape is very good quality. It was simple to install. I had extended a 120V circuit for this purpose already. I installed the heat cable in a spiral around the pipe and a valve, being careful not to cross over itself. Then I wrapped it with a self adhesive insulating tape, and covered that with foam pipe insulation. Everything turned out really well. Of course the proof of effectiveness is, well…. The proof is in the pudding, right? We’ve had a few weeks of very cold weather. The heat cable has solved the problem. No worries now! This is a terrific value! I’m very impressed with the build quality and it works perfectly. The control and display is great. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Order with confidence!

The instructions are confusing to the point I had to have a man look at it and tell me how to use it and the directions were backwards for the temperature setting. Other than that it is a great warmer to use on your piping in the winter for sure.
