I was skeptic of buying this product but it works, I was concerned my wife's car had a bad head gasket so I followed the instructions and ran the test and luckily had no sign of a head gasket leak. To be sure I didn't get a false reading I placed the bag on something under the exhaust for 5 mins and It turned orange. So this product works I would highly recommend using it.

So, the idea is that gas molecules enter through plastic into liquid. It asks for being used while driving the car and then check. If you drove the car and open the radiator, you will get hurt if you don't wait for it to cool down.I tried to use at my 1990 RV which needs easily 1 to 2h to cool down because of the size of the radiator. So it stays for at least 2 hours in it.While most systems you can buy for around 60 bucks give you a result in seconds, this one is not customer friendly at all.Does it work? I saw videos it does but because it is so difficult to use, I will spend the 60 and get something I can rely on

You put one of these tests inside your radiator and go for a 15 minute drive. Then allow the radiator to cool off, open the cap amd remove the test, and compare its color to the colors on the chart for your results. And the test is accurate, it confirmed what i suspected which was that i had a moderate head gasket leak on my 2004 mitsubishi eclipse 2.4 engine. No oil in coolant or coolant in oil, but coolant was disappearing with no obvious leaks. Replaced the head gasket and all is well again.

(1) This is a great concept. Instructions are clear. It's very easy to use. (2) My car developed a misfire more-or-less immediately after it got hot (thermostat failed), and I figured odds were the headgasket failed or the head cracked. I replaced the sparkplugs (they were due) and the misfire went away. (3) Decided to try this product, then used it about 100 miles after replacing the spark plugs. It showed no combustion leakage. (4) I've still got no symptoms of combustion leakage, so it seems likely I dodged a bullet. Hopefully the test result wasn't a false negative.

I had bubbles in my coolant reservoir. I did 3 of these test and they never changed color. I replaced my cap and kept looking for what could be causing it but couldn’t find anything, so I bought a harbor freight test in for a positive result. I would not recommend this kit. Go to harbor freight and buy the reusable test it’s only a couple dollars more but actually works

Buy this! It works on very hard to detect leaks.I have a sneaky leak! Only leaks under extreme power (over prolly 500). Busted my radiator but never got low on fluid till then! I installed a pressure gauge to my cooling system & tracked through my laptop. Saw 25psi... bad. Didn't want to believe my race motor is leaking, this showed clearly orange, but not dark.Gonna try tightening my ARP head studs now as I have laminated steel gaskets that may seal up.This was piece of mind on a VERY hard leak to diagnose.

I installed and used it exactly as described but not sure the diagnosis is correct. The liquid stayed the same color indicating all is good. however, I not so sure this is correct. Possible small leak at head gasket.

There are several videos on the internet proclaiming this kit is a scam. For me, it worked perfectly. From what I can tell, the people on the videos didn't follow the instructions. This has to be put under the radiator cap, NOT the overflow tank. Heat the engine up to normal operating temperature, then drive it around for 10 minutes, (kind of push it too). Let it cool enough to open the cap (be careful to release the pressure first) and then compare it to the chart. This would be great when purchasing a used car with questionable history.

I was very skeptical because the product is in a sealed bag with no exposure to the coolant being tested. Actual test results in a vehicle that tested positive using test fluid, tested negative with this product, false results as expected.
