Very helpful to help reassure me that my 1995 still had a solid engine. It is easy to read. Easy to setup. Nice clamshell case. Many many attachments for a wide range of applications. Easy to use.

This is a useful diagnostic tool for working on small engines. I have an older one that did not have a case and over the years have lost the adapters to it. This first thing that attracted me to this kit was the storage case and organization. I opted for the "premium" option, which only means that they include a spark plug gapper. I guess it's not a bad addition since you already have the plug out to pressure test, you might as well check the gap. The kit includes four threaded adapters that fit the rubber hose and two quick connect adapters with rubber tips to seal the compression chamber. At less than twenty dollars I was a bit apprehensive about the quality, but after using I quickly forgot about that. So far I have had not issues with leaking, and the gauge does indeed hold pressure until you manually release it. I also like the quick connect coupler on the gauge that captures either the hose or the two rubber tipped adapters. If you are thinking of buying any used small power equipment, this is a good kit to have to validate what you are buying will potentially run.

The tester kit is super handy! It has everything you need to check engine compression, including a spark plug space gauge. The gauge gives accurate readings, and it’s easy to use. Perfect for anyone doing car maintenance or repairs. Definitely a great tool to have around!

After years of wanting to get my hands on a compression tester, I finally decided to go for this one. It's cheap, has it's own case, and it seems to work well. I don't know how to tell just HOW accurate it is as I don't have another to compare it against, but it does seem to be consistent. If you are looking to buy used gas powered toys and want to be able to test the cylinders for compression, this is perfect.

Used this on an older snow blower that just wouldn't start up and viola ended up being no/low compression which means the engine is pretty much junk. These tools are great for ensuring your engine and/or cylinders have compression, I like that the kit has a variety of different attachments and comes with its own case for easy storage.
