This stuff is incredible. Have a powder coated black running board on the truck, and wanted something to keep the salt road spray from getting in the crevices. This dries matte, doesn't get tacky or sticky, and goes on very well. You could look at the end result and never even notice it was coated, and there's no greasy residue like with fluid film. Not the greatest coverage per can, and the sprayer gets kind of gunky after a while. But dries very nicely and evenly. For coverage on fluid film on a truck frame, I'd use about 8-10 cans of fluid film. With this, I would plan on getting 10-12 cans. But the durability is outstanding. Really a good product.

two cans is enough to use as an undercoat for my full size 4wd suv. reapplied it again this summer. smells like crayons for a day or two which is no big deal. I think is works very well.

Used it for undercoating my car and to be honest this stuff is just fantastic. It is highly inflammable so care should be taken not to spray it on hot parts.

This thing is outstanding! I've been going through all kinds of lubricants, corrosion preventatives, and corrosion inhibitors for years and have not found a single one capable of providing a protective film that penetrates and adheres to the surface like this one!I happen to have a huge collection of axes, knives, and firearms, all of whom are extremely prone to corrosion in the highly humid environment in which I happened to live, which is an understatement to say the least!I've try things like linseed oil, fluid film, blaster multimax, Hopps LP7 Gun Oil, and much more! And not one has been able to provide as much enhance protection and durability as this amazing thing! If you're like me and have been spending years looking for corrosion inhibitors that "Actually" work, and own a huge collection of specialist gear that is prone to corrosion then I absolutely recommend you pick this up and try it for yourself! You will not be disappointed!

I bought a replacement engine for my ancient log splitter. The splitter stays outside covered in plastic with a canvas over the plastic. I sprayed the new engine, let it set, and then covered it. Visually and by touch, it seemed that there is a decent film on the whole engine.I previously used this on motor mounts on the diesel engines on my boat. It seems to be doing a good job. CRC has been around a long time, and unless they have been bought out or diminished in some way, they have always had good, quality products.

This is cosmolyin . it stays for very long. Have used it many times. Smell is little powerful but it definetly protects. If something is already rusted, it may not protect as i did notice it started rusting but it definetly slows it down. Definitely worth it to buy. The oil based ones gets washed off very easily but these ones stays like forever... Leaves yellowish color. Wish there was greyesh color or other color based too as i used these on my doors and is yellow now but i dont care as long as it protects it from rusting ....

My '04 Acura TL was a babied, never winter driven luxury touring until my winter-only beater gave up the ghost 4 years back.Until then, the winter-stored TL was PRISTINE underneath; rust wise, gravel chip wise, every wise.Four years of chemical garbage this town insists on over using on the roads in the winter, has changed that.Even though the control arms and steering components are really decent metal and thick, they are rusting as one cant avoid with metal anythings. Of course all the screw sized threaded components are near seized too.I made sure to wait a couple hours longer than the instructions say, before using the car (literally 24 hrs no car use; plan wisely). The cleaned, gently brushed or sometimes quick light hand sanded parts I followed up with spray, have barely any dull red rust appearance returning. Its been most of a year, some gravel roads, lots of rain since the first application. It does look like it coats nicely enuf to take abuse that would otherwise wash off other products, making it a multiple times a year hassle doing them... I DIDNT HAVE TO do another treatment, but finished up the remains of the can, since winter is around the corner. No idea how it will help slow advanced rusting on underbodies that went many years uncared for, but can say starting with a pristine underbody and this product has been rewarding.I like what I see, hope it continues to last. Bought a refill this week.

I used this product for a 1983 Dodge Rampage and a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, both with chassis rust issues. I wire brushed and cleaned all loose rust where possible, then sprayed a rust inhibitor (the kind that turns black), followed by ACE rust stop flat black paint and let dry for several days, then followed up with the CRC product. I used about 4 cans for each vehicle, spraying into the frame rails where there were access holes (after blowing them out with compressed air first - whew!). I found the CRC product drips so used cardboard strips in the garage to protect the floor and also wore an N95 mask while applying. The stuff dries to a soft texture which is difficult to remove, so don't use it on a visible area you care about! After one year of driving on Maine roads in the winter I found it was necessary to reapply the product, but that may be due to the fact that the original application was in an unheated garage which barely met the temperature requirements for curing. The second application was done in the summer and so far it is holding up much better. So far the repainted surfaces do not seem to be rusting through where the CRC product was used so I am pretty pleased with it and will continue to inspect each year and reapply as necessary.
