Great product. A little goes a long way. Easy to apply with a gun. Dries nice and even. Leaves oily residue so rust won't come back. I use it with a wand for inside rockers and cab corners.

Been using this product for over 20 years and I still think it's the best rust preventer!

I’d bought the black version of this and I love this product! It sprayed on very nicely with a light overspray( mainly due to wind). I did put plastic down under the vehicle and glad I did but wouldn’t hesitate a moment to spray it inside my garage, with plastic underneath of course. Again, very little overspray using the sprayer I bought. The results were amazing! I’ll definitely get the 5 gallon bucket next time. I did use about 2/3 of a gallon on one very large Ford Excursion, and will be doing my other vehicles in the near future.

Have been using fluid film for a couple years now . And I have got to say this stuff really works! Have been using it on my 14 year old Ford Ranger truck. So far it has been holding up very well. I suggest if you’re going to use this stuff try to warm it up prior to application . This ensures it will spray on a little better until it firms up. It’s only down fall is that you will have to reapply yearly in the wheel well areas specially on a yearly basis. Other areas not as prone to water splashing it sticks quite well.

Used the wool wax gun and a 4.5 CFM 27 gallon compressor. Zero issues. I like the black because it’s easy to see where I sprayed and where I missed but the truck is white and it is also easy to see where I shouldn’t have sprayed it.The clear one isn’t really clear. Kinda tan so either way you’re going to see it.I honestly prefer CorrosionX because not only does it stop / prevent rust, it is a penetrating product and will seep and creep in between the panels better than this. This is like warm peanut butter. Also, I sprayed a can of this on the bolts holding my front bumper on and since I’m in the process of painting the bumper cover, these bolts have been exposed to the elements while I drive. It’s been raining a bit this week and I noticed the black fluid film I sprayed on those bolts is completely gone and some rust was forming. Keep in mind this product is really ideally suited for the frame and inside the rails, rockers, jams, etc where it’s not easily going to get blown off.

I live in a climate that gets lots of snow and road salt. I had my truck professionally undercoated with an oil-based product a few years ago and have meant to redo it every 1-2 years. I recently noticed some surface rust on fasteners where the prior undercoating had washed/worn away. Time to do it again.I purchased the WoolWax spray gun and Fluid Film Black coating. The combination worked very well together. The gun sprays well and Fluid Film covers evenly. The black is nice because areas that looked dull now look shiny and new. My rear axle and rear-end look great now. It has only been a few weeks, but we have had several days of rain, some light snow, and I've been on some muddy gravel roads since applying the spray. Everything still looks as good as the day I applied it.One note about odor: My truck and garage smelled like a livestock yard (manure) for 2-3 days after applying Fluid Film. I was concerned it would persist, but by day 4 the odor was not noticeable. So don't fret if the initial odor shocks your family...it goes away quickly.
