Worked great. Easy to put on and take off, they don’t fall of the boot and they do what they need to do on the ice. They have pretty aggressive traction. So far, they are also durable.

Preformed better than anticipated. These made winter hiking possible and were barely uncomfortable. I’m a size 13 and had these on my heaviest hiking boots.

Used for snow blowing my driveway. Unbelievably good. Bought cheap spring wrapped bungee cord deals in the past but they didn't last. These looked like overkill just for an icy driveway but they were perfect. No more slipping on snow covered ice or tip toeing around afraid to slip on every step. Very durable, remarkably comfortable and super secure footing. I can see using these on my steep hill in the spring so I don't slip on the mud. Worth twice as much!

I love that these ice cleats have long enough spikes to not only give better traction on ice, but also be able to handle snow on top of ice without losing grip. I was worried about the quality because of the price point, but they hold up no problem, even on concrete boat ramps without dulling or bending. Definitely a great cleat to put on your boots for ice fishing, especially at a budget price

Background info - I'm a Trail Maintainer on the Appalachian Trail in the mid-Atlantic region. So, I'm out on the Trail and hiking almost every other week throughout the entire year. In good and bad and crappy weather. I had a large blowdown tree across my section of the Trail that needed to be cleared. We had just gotten a decent snow fall (~10"), so I was reluctant to head out and clear the blowdown until the snow melted in a week or two. One of my co-maintainers suggested that I get a set of mini spikes to make it easier - and safer - to go out. I've never owned any mini spikes and was doubtful they would help, but went ahead and bought these to try them out. I had read a lot of the reviews, and saw that many of the negative reviews mentioned that the metal links allowed the spikes to separate when using them. I looked at what I received and noticed that some of the links had larger than normal openings to them. So, I took the advise on some of the reviews and used a pair of Channel Locks to crimp every link on each foot.Actual review - I went out the next day. The spikes were very easy to mount and felt tight and secure with no sense of looseness on my boots. I used the restraining straps, mainly because they were there. My trail section is a combination of steep, very rocky ups and downs, as well as nice gently graded mostly flat sections. I wasn't too worried about the flat sections, but the steep rocky areas were of major concern. I am extremely happy to say that the spikes were life-changing for me. I hiked about 7 hours and about 10 miles in sub-freezing temps that day and not once did I feel unsafe on the Trail. Not once did I slip or have questionable footing. It didn't even feel like I had anything on my feet except my regular boots. I've been out before in similar conditions in the past, and decided to be safe and turn back because of unsure footing. It was actually FUN to be out that day!Was my great experience JUST because of these SPECIFIC mini-spikes? I can't say because I don't have anything else to compare them to. Will they work as well on an icy trail and rocks and packed snow? Will the rubber harnesses hold up over time? I don't know, yet. All I can say is that these spikes worked perfectly for me in the conditions above. I felt safe and in control in conditions that in the past I would not have gone out in. I inspected the spikes after I got home, and didn't see where any of the links had separated or loosened at all. So, I feel that the time I took "tightening" the links was well spent. Time will tell if they continue to "wow" me, and how well they will hold up in my varying working conditions and environment. What I can say, though, is that they gave me a sense of safety in conditions where in the past I didn't have that. And that is a REALLY good thing as far as I'm concerned.

These cleats do exactly what they're supposed to do. They give you fantastic grip on ice. If you're a mountain climber they will give you extra traction on rough rocky terrain. They fit perfectly over top my extra large Timberland PRO boots size 15 wide. They're very easy to slip on and off. During the past snow storm I use these so I could walk confidently on ice and snowy surfaces without worrying about slipping and falling. I was also using a cleat fitted to the bottom of my walking cane. The combination of the two gave me complete confidence to walk among the ice and snow without worrying about slipping and losing my balance. They are only meant to be worn outside on rough surfaces. Do not try and wear them where surfaces may be smooth. They will slip and slide on smooth surfaces, such as hard smooth tile surfaces. They can also tear up a wooden floor. I suggest you put them on right before you need to use them to go outside, or keep them on an extra pair of boots and swap out when you get outside to where you need to go. They could probably puncture holes in your carpeting as well. They are very tough. They take a little bit of time getting used to walking with them. After a while you don't even know you have them on. They have a very specific purpose. You can't just leave them on all the time.

Bought two pairs of crampons for our recent Lofoten, Norway trip. This crampon is simply awesome; it has very good grip on snow and especially icy surfaces. My wife and I could move around confidently without fear of falling.

In no way do these spikes replace a 10/12 point crampon, but they do serve a purpose and they do it very well. I recently hiked the Tarmachan Ridge in full winter condition. Powdery snow with wind scarred ice sections. These spikes gave confidence under foot, very easy to put on and are a must to keep in your pack when it's possible you might encounter slippy conditions. Sometimes the conditions don't merrit a full crampon, this is where these spikes come into their own. Well made and great for the price.
