The reel itself works fine and has a strong return, but the line can't take much. Just walking around with it in an Occidental 9521, the string frayed nearly to the point of severing after 2 days. I may try to replace the string, but I'm not sure, for now there just a litle wrapping of electrical tape ont he bottom most portion of the string and its been fine so far this week.

Great product. The case is durable. Just keep an eye on the string after continuos use it will brake at the contact point of the plumb bob. Would definitely buy again.

The line is highly visible and strong. The spring that retracts the string is quite strong, too. I don't know how it would hold up to being stepped on or anything, but I intend to take better care of it than that.
