It's a chalk line so...it's good at that but the issue, as others have commented, is the line IS NOT 100' as indicated in the description.My item arrived with the manufacuters packaging CLEARLY STATING 30'.Not sure why it's described as 100' but at the end of the day, an Irwin 30' Chalk line, with a bottle of chalk for about $7 'aint abd deal.I did sub,it a comment to amazon to fix description.

Like other reviewers state, the description says 100 ft. but it’s actually 30 ft.The 30 ft. will work for my current need but may need more in the future. Bummer.

I purchased this based on the description. 100 ft. I simply tossed it into the tool box in my truck. About a month and a half later My helper loaded it up with chalk and we snapped our first line of 25 ft. And moved over to a 41 ft wall. And Yes, you guessed it, a 30 ft line can’t go 41 ft.I missed the return window, so now I have to buy another 100 ft chalk line.Amazon really needs to change the description to 30 ft!

I didn't notice anything innovative - just a standard chalk reel. But I got it for an extra color (blue).

This chalk line is great. It is a bit smaller then most so it fits hands better. The case is plastic but has held up.
