I cut a lot of cardboard for an art teacher. I thought this would save my hands. You have to be able to push really hard to get it to go through anything substantial. It worked great on wrapping paper but I got it for corrugated cardboard... Nope, didn't cut it.

I looked at so many different makes before deciding that I think I must've been too tired when I decided to order this one because I forgot about its rating average. I specifically want one with an LED light, a second blade, and a safety lock -- one that locks into position and you don't have to continuously press it down simultaneously with the movement button. The manufacturer has a different definition of "safety lock" than I because it would only start cutting with both buttons pressed down simultaneously, but I read something else today when looking for actual electric scissors rather than the electric rotary cutter, so I pulled this one out of its box again and tried what I read on it. It turns out that to begin cutting, you do have to press both buttons simultaneously, but once the cutting begins, you can quit pressing on the top button and need onlyto hold down the on button/bar underneath then. Also, I just saw that it's only 340 RPM, and the one advertised on YouTube is 10,000 RPM, so this one isn't much faster than a regular pair of scissors when cutting corrugated cardboard because it slows down at a ridge and then you have to push it, which you're not supposed to need to do, so I think that's due to the low RPM. The thickness of this cardboard was only about 1/16th of an inch, too. I tried it on 3/16th of an inch corrugated carboard, too, and it was the same. It doesn't "easily" cut patterns either. I did the full charge before trying, like the instructions say. Then I tried it on a piece of cardboard like they use when folding new shirts to sell, so it wasn't that thick for it to move so slowly. Frustrating and more of a hindrance than helpful. This was a huge disappointment, unfortunately. I do NOT recommend it at all. I will be returning the one I received.

This is very useful when cutting large amounts of fabric. Easy to plug and go. Will be great for cutting out all my holiday projects.

Why didn’t I buy this sooner. Really well made, beautifully crafted and guess what, saves me hours of headache when cutting fabric. As an older lady with arthritis, these electric scissors are a god-send allowing me to still be able to sew and enjoy one of my favorite hobbies without the headache.
