I grabbed this after seeing so many sewists online using powered scissors 😳I trying to get back into sewing this year and I’m excited to try this electric rotary cutter. This cutter comes with the charging cable and a replacement disc. Charging only took 30 minutes and the charge seems to hold pretty well. I haven’t had a chance to use it on a heavy duty project yet, but for quick simple cuts, this cutter works great!

I had high hopes for this device. Seeing as I get a couple Amazon boxes a day, an efficient way to get them in the recycling bin is a "must have". I wanted this to replace the oh-so-dangerous box-cutter. While in some instances this will work, I found it difficult to find somewhere on the box that would feed into the blade. The problem is that the blade guard gets in the way. When I was actually able to get a clear path, I had to exert a lot of pressure to get the "scissors" to slice through. Additionally, it got bogged down in the cardboard a few times and I had to "back it out" and try again. Turns out to be less efficient than the razor, but much safer. If I have a straight forward cut, I will opt to use these, otherwise, I will have to stick with the more dangerous razor route.

I go through a ton of cardboard so in theory, a cardboard cutting tool would be great. It works, but there are some limitations when using it. If it's too thick, it's tough to run it through, it can be a struggle. If you're rushing and angle it wrong, it can get jammed. I wouldn't mind if it had an exposed sharp edge so you can open the box, and cut the tape, but I understand it's a safety thing. It's a good concept, but for real thin stuff, it's sometimes easier just ripping it up by hand. But if you want to break it down real small so you can get it into your recycling bin, it works good.

Not gonna lie, one of the banes of my existence is breaking down cardboard. I hate doing it and so boxes just sit in our house for eternity. This has made it a heck of a lot more painless, it cuts through cardboard like butter and is absolutely delightful. Highly recommend it.

I am so happy with these! I'm using them in my sewing room to cut fabric and it's made my life so much easier. My daughter is expecting twins and I have a stack of cotton flannel and Minky to cut through for blankets, wipes and burp cloths. These scissors are SO much faster and easier than hand rolling manually.Very pleased!

We have almost everything we buy shipped to out door, so we go through a lot of cardboard. I'm constantly changing out utility knife blades because they dull so fast cutting cardboard, not to mention it's a bit dangerous using a utility knife on larger cardboard. This electric cutter was the answer to my problem. It cuts through a single layer of cardboard (the corrugated stuff like boxes are made from) almost like a hot knife through butter! I tried it on a double layer (after flattening a box) and it worked, but the shoe is just a teensy bit too narrow so it took a little more effort to push the cutter through it. Having said that, the blade and motor cut through it without bogging down at all, it's just a shame the width of the shoe's opening couldn't be adjusted to allow for a bigger bite.Anyway, it'll cut paper, wrapping paper, light cardboard, and heavy box cardboard with ease. I'm going to try it on multiple materials as time progresses and I'm really curious how many things this will cut. So far, it seems pretty unstoppable and I love this little cutter!

Charged this up as soon as it arrived and good thing too. My wife said, hey there's a lot of boxes to cutup for recyclables. Took this bad boy and cut those boxes like butter. No more trying to rip or hold my box cutter the right way. Press the two buttons and slice away at those boxes. Love this item.No to see how long the blades last from cutting cardboard. As a note, just remember you need to hold both buttons to do the cutting. If you release one button this machine stops as a safety feature. I can live with that.
