We tend to end up with a LOT of cardboard boxes, and our recycling only comes every other week, so breaking them down (and often cutting them into strips) is a necessity. This tool makes the job a lot easier and safer. I love that it has a two-points-of-contact feature that ensures you are gripping it properly and intentionally before it starts cutting. It does a good job on standard thickness cardboard (aka every Amazon box) but you do have to keep an eye out on the bottom guide because it will get caught on overlapping pieces. I like that it's rechargeable, but I took off one star because it does not have any type overcharge protection, to the point that the instructions warn you that it will overheat if you leave it plugged in for more than 8 hours. I don't want to have to worry about destroying the tool (or my house) if I plug it in at night and forget to unplug it before I go to bed.

This cutter is goodfor breaking down boxes. But if you hit a part where cardboard overlaps, it does struggle. If the cutting depth was a little deeper, it would not. It has good power and does cut cardboard pretty quickly. It has a two step activation and that's good for safety in my opinion. USB C charging is very convenient and it does have an indicator light to let you know when it's fully charged. It weight nothing and it feels pretty good in your hand. It functions as is should, it has a carry. Are, extra blade, and charging cable, but I feel it is a bit pricey.

I am an art teacher and use recycled cardboard for many of my projects. This product made cutting cardboard a breeze. I had a cardboard box cut up in minutes. I tried cutting curved edges but seemed a little difficult. May just need more practice. I highly recommend the product.

When I get tools, batteries, and other stuff, they come in this strong plastic form fitted plastic that is impossible to open. Scissors don't work good and the plastic is too heavy. I don't like using knives as the knife will suddenly give through the plastic and stab the items inside. It also takes several tries to get to goods out.This rotary knife comes to the rescue! I can start it on an edge of the plastic, and guide it up and around the inside items with no fear of damage to the inside items. This solves a big problem for me. It is quick and effective.This is easy to recharge, and the case is great storage for the rotary tool, and the extra included blade.Be careful with the blade, and the extra blade that comes with this, as they are very sharp!The build quality is strong, and this does what I need it too.An exceptional value!

XINJUE Cordless Electric Scissors, Rechargeable Power Rotary CutterFinally! A power rotary cutter with a decent case! My wife and I have had a number of these through recent years and not a single one came with a case. In my opinion, if a tool comes with extra parts or accessories, it should have a case. Period. So kudos to the maker for providing the storage case.As far as these tools are concerned, this rotary cutter or electric scissors (the latter is actually a misnomer) is very powerful and VERY sharp. Resist the temptation to feel just how sharp the blade it is b/c it WILL cut you. It is what knife enthusiasts call “scary sharp.” And as long as you keep your fingers away from the blade, this high-quality rotary cutter will serve you extremely well.Since we moved into a “new” house a while back, we’ve had dozens and dozens of cardboard boxes to contend with. Well this rotary cutter just went through all of them like a hot knife through butter. And thanks to the tool’s self-sharpening mechanism, I can barely tell that it’s been used. I also tried it out on a piece of carpet, an old leather belt, and a not-so-thin piece of plastic, and let me tell you, this tool cuts better than any I’ve owned previously. At 4 volts, 1500 mAh, and 220 rpms, for it’s size it’s a beast of a cutter. It’s supposed to be able to cut up to a 1/4” (6mm) in thickness, but obviously it will depend on the material being cut.This kit also comes with a very good Operator’s Manual, a pair of safety gloves, AND—this is very classy—a spare blade. Allow me to say a word about the gloves. First, they are cut-resistant and in no way are cut-proof. Second, gloves and power tools—even small, very sharp power tools—don’t always mix well. That’s b/c if any part of the glove touches the moving blade, the blade will immediately pull your fingers or hand into that very sharp blade. And it happens in seconds, maybe nanoseconds. So if you wear the gloves, just keep this in mind. But for me, as a general rule, I try never to use power tools while wearing gloves. They just don’t always play well together.All in all, this is a 5-star tool—a 5-star kit—that would come in handy for virtually anyone. And that’s why it would make such a great gift, either during the holidays or on the occasion of a birthday or Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, you name it. I highly recommend it, and thanks for reading.
