Edit 8/29/22: When used on a normal camp stove, this is fine. I used this one time on a large stove (wide burner) and the handles melted! reduced to 3 stars.The fact that this collapses makes it easy to pack and have ready to use when I want. The handles are perfectly designed to hold the lid in place when brewing, lifting, and pouring.The only negative is it is mildly difficult to clean, so 1/2 star off. Still rounds up to five.

So far, so good. It’s lightweight, holds enough water for coffee and a meal. The hot pad that comes with it was an added surprise. Multi purpose.

This is my first camping kettle. I used to just ladle out hot water from a pot. I love how it's collapsible and doesn't take up much room. We did have to boil water for each person since it only holds about 4 cups and we have large mugs. The gray plastic handle and green silicone lid handle do stay cool to the touch. The lid only pours out one side where the handles separate so that's a good design. The hot pad is a nice touch. The only negative is that the water spills some while you pour. That was no big deal outside. You just have to be careful since it's boiling water. First use was over a campfire on a grate and it took awhile for the water to boil and the green silicon exterior was black with soot. I don't think the vibrant green color returned but it was washable and the black color went away. Water boiled quite quickly on the propane stove. This is must have gear for boiling water.

I enjoy a relaxing cup of tea as well as using hot water for cooking. This kettle is perfect for me. Light weight and collapses. I even use it at home instead of my old metal kettle.
