FEEDING YOUR LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS SINCE 1985

In 1985, siblings from British Columbia- Don, Ian and Kathy Scott made their way down the west coast to San Diego where they founded GSI Outdoors.

GSI Outdoors is in the business of making cookware and dining products that adapt the comforts of home to active outdoor lifestyles at the campsite, bivy, base camp and everywhere in between. Our passion is food- food as a way of bringing people together, food as a way of having fun in the outdoors and food as a connection to the world around us.

GSI Outdoors Coffee Pot

Classic and durable coffee pot

From campsite to cabin to backyard get-together, the GSI Outdoor Pioneer Coffee Pot has a classic style and rugged durability. This pot can be used at a campsite, cabin or even a retro farmhouse kitchen. It brews great-tasting, old-fashioned coffee or tea and the three-ply construction maximizes heat distribution for even cooking.

Dimensions: 5.5 x 4.1 x 6.4 in (3 cup) / 7.1 x 5.1 x 7.7 in (6 cup) / 8 x 5.9 x 9 in (8cup)

Weight: 9.2 oz (3 cup) / 14.6 oz (6 cup) / 19.1 oz (8 cup)

  • DURABLE: Built from heavy-gauge steel with a classic speckled enamel finish, every piece has been kiln-hardened twice at 1000 degrees F to stand up to many years of use.
  • SMART DESIGN: The coffee pot's three-ply construction maximizes heat distribution for even cooking because you deserve nothing but the best cup of coffee.
  • EASY TO USE: Just fill the pot and place it on a stove or over a fire to keep your drink warm.

The coffee pot is exactly what you expect. However the cup that came with it is sized for a little girls tea party. I would want a bigger cup for a double espresso shot let alone coffee.

As described. It is used to put moisture in room on top of wood burning stove.

I bought the 8 cup boiler to compliment my 100 oz Graniteware pot for smaller servings. My pot is made in Mexico and arrived almost in perfect condition. There is a small chip on the handle but I'm not going to make a fuss about it although I wish it wasn't there. Seems like a heavy porcelain coating.Holds 48 oz up to the bottom of spout. Fits over my Camp Chef Yukon burner nicely. Not much else to say I like it.

Makes the smoothest coffee ever. fill it with with water up to the bottom of the spout. Wait until the water is warm before adding the grounds. Boil the coffee for about 3-4 minutes, yes a good rolling boil. (I know it sounds weird, but trust me, on this) Take it off the heat and pour a cup of cold water down the spout and around the edge of the boiling coffee. This will sink the grounds and cool the coffee a bit. Wait a minute for the grounds to sink, then have some coffee. if it's too strong, just ad some water.Be careful not to boil it over, this is easy to prevent if you just keep an eye on it. It won't hurt the coffee, but it will make an awful mess.

We bought this for camping. We used it to heat the water for our French press when we went camping. Yes, french press. We have tried a Percolator but weren’t a huge fan as it didn’t seem to stand up to the heat of the campfire, so we opted to just bring our home french press. This did what it was supposed to do. It stood up to being over the flames and cleaned up really nicely from all the black soot. It’s a very generous size and I definitely recommend it for anyone needing got water for camping, whether that be for coffee or tea or even water for making soup or some rice, which is what we did.

Llegó con el esmalte roto. Entiendo que el estilo es viejo pero el defecto que tiene en la orilla es porque estå rota, no es cuestion de estilo viejo. Lamentablemente tendré que devolverla

Wooooo, hot water! No. Seriously. Get something else. Lacks quality control. You will probably end up drinking whatever metal/paint this is made of after boiling it a few times. Out of all the GSI products I own this is a definite 0/5. Spend more and get the $30+ ones off Amazon. I’m starting to think GSI was some drop shipping company an 18 year old teen created at home on Shopify. A typical instagram branded chinese product being sold at a premium. As a real outdoorsman I don’t approve of whatever I got. A lemon? Lol. Harsh words? Yeah, well its a coin flip with GSI so far. Definitely not something I’d recommend on my overland expeditions. I guess the term “you get what you pay for,” goes a really long ways with these outdoors products. But since I need it for my trip coming up the following weekend, there’s not much I can do but to bring it (my old one broke). The cost of being unprepared and last minute I suppose. Cheers.

I don’t know whether this is manufacturing fault or delivery damage. I bought this pot because I have previously been impressed with GSI equipment but this time I am disappointed. This was delivered to UK from USA and the packaging was tbh minimal. The first time I have been disappointed with amazon packaging, especially as they knew it had to travel around the world. The pot is a nice size but the metal is quite thin. I didn’t pay a great deal but the damage to the handle and enamel spoils what could have been a serviceable product.

We needed something for camping in our little camper trailer to heat water - after reading the description this looked perfect, we didn’t want a percolator and as the description states - this is not a percolator. I also got a recommendation from a friend who said he used one too. I’m not giving the full stars because as some reviews said, the metal clip that holds the lid in place is pretty flimsy. Also, after using it each morning on a propane grill for three days it appears a little rusty around the lid edge. Otherwise, it holds a great amount of water for four people and was perfect for heating water for tea, and heating water for our French press. We camped with 4 people and the issue wasn’t heating water, it was the French press that could only make two cups at a time.
