I needed to spread some granules to kill the fleas in my backyard so my dog doesn't have to wear a collar. He developed a flea allergy even though fleas won't live on them. They bite him and he got a rash so I bought this because it was inexpensive and it's small and I don't have to worry about where I store it. My backyard is very large and it took me no time at all to treat the entire thing with some granules I bought on Amazon as well. It's really easy to use and if you have any sense at all it won't be any problem. I've seen negative reviews and I can't possibly see how anybody could say anything bad about this because it's just really good and well worth the money. If somebody had a problem using it it has to be pilot error!

It does its job for small projects. The bin is for most peoples small yards or around buildings. I have 3 types and needed a smaller one (It is small to my others) for a small home we have and it fits the bill. Ive noiw used it several times and its still doing its job.

The spreader was working great on coverage and ease of use, but the hand crank broke after the first 10 minutes. The teeth on the plastic gears were slipping off of each other, which made it unusable. Hopefully they can tweek this product to make it more durable.

I normally only write reviews if I like the product. I'll make an exception here: This spreader, while inexpensive, just didn't work for my application. It jammed after about two turns of the handle. Every time I emptied it and started over, it would jam again. I was spreading granulated grub killer. Maybe it works better for grass seed, but for this, it was worthless. It ended up in recycle the same day I received it.
