I wanted to give this product a fair try and an honest review, but honestly this thing is made so incredibly cheap I would be surprised if it lasted through three uses. There is nothing sturdy about it whatsoever we're the controls mount to the hopper it just bounces around like crazy making you think it's going to just break off. It does a pretty good job spreading whatever you are trying to spread, but that's about the best part about it. The part that goes into the receiver is way too small so the thing bounces around like crazy more than it already does because of how flimsy it is. If I had it to do over again I would have spent the money on a higher quality unit. This thing is definitely not worth the money and probably won't last very long.

I USE THIS ON MY ATV FOR FERTILIZER SPREADING IN THE YARD. WORKS GREAT! HANG THE SPREADER IN MY RECEIVER HITCH AND PLUG IN THE D/C ADAPTER AND I'M READY TO GO. CUTS MY TIME IN THE YARD AND BEATS PUSHING A SPREADER. GREAT ACCESSORY ! THANKS!

I purchased this spreader to lime, fertilize and seed my five 1 acre food plots. It fits my 2" receiver on my Polaris Ranger and does the job. It takes a little time to calibrate the aperture properly for whatever you are spreading, but once you get that adjusted to your liking it's a breeze to use. I've only used it one season so I can't comment how on how durable the motor of components are since it is still relatively new.

The box came damaged, but the contents appeared unaffected. However, I did have to call customer service to get a replacement electrical connector that the wire came out of during first use. Customer support is TOP NOTCH! Thanks Britt! It assembles pretty easily. The cables and wires work and I was able to spread 100 lbs of oats in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the wire and cables are too short if your battery is toward the front of your ATV. You may need to splice in some wire to make it reach. I had my kid in the back seat of my 2-up sportsman operating the controls for it while I drove. He held the controls in his hands since it wouldn't reach if mounted to the spreader bucket. It slides into my 2" receiver well. The spreader and agitator work great for me, (for oats only so far) but the back spray guard thing must be positioned correctly so it doesn't interfere with the spreader wheel. I like the cover it comes with to keep seed from spilling out when I hit a bump.Overall, I think it is worth the money and a huge time saver. I just wish is came with a longer wire for front mounted batteries like those in the Polaris ATVs. Buy with confidence that the company will stand behind this product.UPDATE...May 2020. After several months of use, spreading hundreds of lbs of various seeds, lime and fertilizer, it is still running...however....There is an intermittent issue with the switch not starting the motor. No idea why. There is also a progressively worsening issue with the cable for the gate. It no longer closes all the way. This can be a huge issue with small seeds like clover. It can be manually shoved closed, but not ideal at all. I will call the company and see what they say about the above issues. It has been less than a year. Not sure what the warranty is. Might have to drop a star if they don't have a good answer.UPDATE #2. The motor totally died in September of 2021. I should have demanded a new motor when I first started having issues. Now I am stuck paying for a new one or attempting to replace the motor. Customer service says the new motor is one hundred bucks, plus shipping. Not cool. I would recommend either steering clear of this brand (Field Tuff) or demanding a new part at the first sign of trouble.

The concept is great. The broad caster needs attention as mentioned in others review. The gate system for opening and closing is terrible. I used once and the gate kept jamming opened or closed. Plastic isn't my choice for the gate. Material wedges between the gate slide and housing and stops the gate from moving. I spent more time today trying to figure away to fix. The only answer I see is to making a metal gate and redesign the lever to be stronger. I would junk it but since it cost so much I need to try to fix. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have a better fix?

Easy to put together with supplied instructions - seeded and fertilized about 5 acres and it worked great. Only drawback is supplied electrical connection mounts on bin and power supply is too short if mounted behind ITV. I added 18 inches to power supply cables along with a cigarette lighter adapter. Turn motor on and then control from utv using cigarette lighter

Works well once it's set up. Mine came with missing welds on the hitch bar, but the company replaced it, so just an inconvenience. The bin tilts backwards, not level, so I'll have to figure out a way to shim it. The spreader works well when adjusted and spreads a broad swath. Mostly sturdy/well built - can't speak to the longevity of the motor as I've only used it twice.

I received it in a timely manner. It was fairly simply to assembly. The only thing I changed was the type of connection for power. I took off the supplied ring type leads and replaced them with alligator clips. It does come with a disconnect point but I didn't want to just leave it hanging off the back of my quad. I have been using it to spread some Bermuda grass seed which is extremely small but it has been working fine with the flow adjustment. I did use a ratchet strap to around the bar and attach to the rack on the quad just to make it a bit more steady. Overall completely satisfied so far I purchased this because I have a Bombardier outlander quad with a composite rack and this worked out great.
