Read 40ppm and still didnt beep. I had to test it and hold it right in front of my wall heater.

My apartment has natural gas water heater, furnace and fireplace and it's an older place and needed 2 CO2 detectors for my new place. So, I placed 1 upstairs and the other unit downstairs for maximum coverage and so far, it seems to do the job quite well. I got these awhile ago and cannot recall what batteries they use, but either AA or AAA batteries and just a few of them. 5 stars

These a great for property management companies or just landlords in general who are looking to have a decent quality functioning item at the best economical friendly price as possible. Super easy to install and the digital display makes it all the worthwhile and so easy to understand.The only reason it did not get a full 5 stars is the fact that you still have to purchase batteries (takes 3) and even a value 4 pack from Amazon is about half the price of the actual CO2 detector. But besides that, they are great!
