I have a Uniden R8. The car I installed this was in a jeep wrangler. I have a mirror dashcam so it is much bulkier than a normal mirror. The slit that goes into the radar to attach it didn’t fit to well and I believe slightly damaged the radar and didn’t even go in all the way.Because of my mirror the radar itself is so close to the mirror that I can’t press any of the buttons with just my fingers.

It’s pretty good for the money but the tiny screws NEED thread locker to be added to prevent them from falling out. They send a few replacements tho.

I like this mount very much. It holds the radar very firmly, it won't be wobbling around. I have a power mirror so I also purchased a wiring harness so I don't have wires running across the dashboard. This keeps the radar detector nice and close to the bottom of the rearview mirror so it does not hinder my vision. I think this one is a keeper. There are some very tiny little screws that hold the plate that is used to mount the radar detector. The screws are very tiny. When they come out they are almost impossible to find. I think that they need to send some extra screws along with the order. I've lost three so far, and I've requested that they send me some more.

The adjustable ball/socket joints that allow this Mount to reposition are unable to stay in position no matter how tightly you screw them together. I even took it all apart and added small slivers of rubber inside the sockets to help with grip and close up any gap and that still didn’t work. Every time I hit a speed bump the radar points down. Even if I put it in the right position and park my car at night, it’s dropping down by the morning. I thought maybe from heat it’s expanding and loosening, not sure. But I kept tightening the socket and it got so tight that the plastic cracked and now I can’t even return. Pay more for a better one. Learn from my mistake.

The packaging was a mess, it was already jingling as if it wasn't packed properly. Then one of the screws won't thread, rendering the setup useless.

There are so many better radar detector mounts for Uniden detectors that it’s not worth getting this particular one. The screws that tighten over the rear mirror body are huge and bulky, so bulky that they didn’t fit on my Porsche 911 or 718 rear view mirror housing (just not enough room with the windshield). I ended up moving the mount to my Audi Q7 and even then it was a challenge getting the mount on. Once on, the bulky screws would loosen every couple of weeks requiring tightening, an annoyance but not terrible. Eventually my radar detector started moving around side to side, I thought that was odd as no amount of screw tightening would stop the movement. I took a look and realized the bottom metal piece that goes in to the radar detector to clip in is attached to the upper mount housing by two very small screws and over time one of the screws had gotten loose and fallen out. Just not a very well thought out design and not worth the money.

I was tired of the dumb cigarette-lighter-12volt cable connection running from my lower dash to the dashboard of the truck (2021 Tacoma Off Road-TRD) to power my radar detector that sits on the dash.Found this inexpensive bracket and bought the "tap" wire to provide power to the detector from the OEM power that goes to the review mirror. The bracket fits well and hides nicely behind most of the mirror. The "tap" wire provides the power from the mirror so the installation is clean and no more unsightly wires. The only complaint is the bracket is plastic/flimsy. It feels like if you twist the tighteners to snug to the bracket to mirror mount they might just snap and/or break off......... Heat (from the sun) causes the bracket loosen and I am worried about the tighteners snapping/breaking when I adjust for looseness....We will see.
