This cable puller is exactly what I needed to put up a 150’ zip line. The stainless cable is super heavy when stretched out 150’ from tree to tree. I used this with a cable ratchet come along to pre-tension the cable enough so the turnbuckle only needed a couple turns to fully tighten. I got the 2 ton model and it is quite beefy and heavy. It worked and held perfectly on braided stainless cable. Highly recommend.

So, I ended up buying this puller since mine was borrowed and I needed one ASAP.It was used to tension several 3/16” tension cable for a chain link fence. It gripped the cable without any slipping and with the spring tensioner it stayed in place on the cable during initial setup.When comparing this pulled to the Klein puller (more weathered in the pics) you can see this puller has all gripping surfaces machined for a better grip while the Klein only has one machined surface. Also this puller has a spring tensioner which allows for easy one person setup. I have never had any issues with the Klein puller but this puller seems to have some better features. Time will tell how well it hold up over time 😉

When putting up a wire fence this is a must have. Don't use the one smaller than this that is only rated for half a ton. First pull and that one broke. The few extra bucks is worth it. One small issue however, if you put the wire too far back in the teeth it may get kinked between the tooth and the body of the puller. It will be a bit difficult to remove if that happens.

This was surprisingly decent quality, heavy, did the job perfectly. I was pulling tension wire for a fence line, pulled it enough to bend a corner 5" x 4" x 10' heavy duty steel post cemented into the ground. The wire did not slip at all through the grip but managed to pull a cemented post and tilt it. The steel thick post was concreted into the ground 2' deep as well, I was surprised it had tilted it without the wire slipping through the grip... two thumbs up on the grip two thumbs down bending my post.
