These are perfect. They may not be as strong as the overpriced Greenlee ones but if you’re pulling really hard there’s something wrong with the pipe or too many wires are trying to be pulled through the conduit. I don’t put tape over the top of these that’s not how they’re désigned.

Great idea, looks good, just didn't work. I tried it on various sizes and numbers of wires but could not get it to grip. Tried to hold the base and pull to tighten it up, but as soon as I released it, it slipped anyway.
