Great for pulling wire and inexpensive

The concept of this product is sound; that when pulling multiple wires, by staggering the ends of the wires the diameter of the whole bundle can be minimized. Thus, this product is ideal for multiple wires' pulling when a single clump end is too big. The triangular slots are also effective at holding wires without taping them!Whether this product 'works' I think is highly dependent on the situation, and on the skill and judgment of the user. For a few wires I don't see how it could help. I'm not an expert wire fisher as my wire pulling experience is measured in hours not years. I do see the usefulness of these tools however. The four hooks are a distinct style that clearly have advantages in being smooth to minimize friction. They are also of a design that reliably stays closed. If you get hung up really badly I think it's possible to break a hook; they are not as robust as the tools.Presumably four tools are included because they can get bent or worn out. Not really sure why. They are a stiff, tough steel, very much like what you find in feeler gauges but thicker and stouter. The edges of these tools are a bit rough so a minute or two of filing them mellow is a good idea. Pulling through metal conduit they will probably grind themselves smooth. Too bad the manufacturer didn't take an extra step to smooth the edges. That is cause for four stars not five right there. Also, though you receive four tools for around fourteen dollars, given the small amount of steel involved the price seems slightly high to me.This is a good toolbox item that in the right situation *might* be one of those 'lifesaver' tools, but often it may not be needed for pulling wires through conduit. As for outside of conduit, for pulling Romex in wall cavities for example, I don't see how this tool could help. If anything I think it could be more likely to get hung up than pulling 3 wire Romex alone.I realize some of this review is based on very limited practical experience, but I hope it helps. As I gain experience with this tool I can come back and edit the review.

I got these as I will be putting multiple electrical wires through conduit, and think this should help with attaching them all while not causing a huge ball of tape connecting them all together. They are somewhat flexible but suspect they could be an issue through tighter turns or in conduit that is smaller. So bigger conduit might be best for these. I am thinking I might cut one of them in half so its shorter and able to be used in smaller (i.e. 1") conduit.I do like that it has holes on each end, providing the ability to attach and pull a trailing "pull line" behind the shuttle. This will also provide for the ability to pull back on the shuttle itself (instead of on the wires) if it gets caught up.The connectors have a clip but nothing to attach it to a fish tape or anything. Luckily my fish tape has something that should work well, and also provide a but more aerodynamic of a shape and prevent it from hanging up as easily.I doubt it will be a panacea for every situation but it definitely seems like it will be an easy way to attach multiple wires securely to the pull line or fish tape.
