The thermal imager worked well out of the box, once charged up.It seems accurate, giving similar temperatures to contact thermometers.The wide angle lens takes a little getting used to, it distorts the image at the edges. The laser pointer helps getting the center reading.It was worth its weight in gold troubleshooting the ductwork in a heat pump installation. It was sensitive enough to track the heat from a duct through poured concrete, a 1F difference between duct and no duct showed the path of the duct brightly.It shows which circuit breakers have load.I do need to play with the many display settings when I have time.
