Originating in the dry regions of South Africa, The Dwarf Jade, or ‘Elephant bush’, is a succulent plant, which explains its ability to store water for a long time. It is a very undemanding plant, well suited for individuals who travel often or who are prone to forget to water their plants. Thick, round, dark green leaves sit atop fleshy stems and branches, beautifully contrasting against the thick upright trunk. Though jade plants can grow to heights of 10 feet tall in their native habitat, it is an ideal bonsai for a beginner; This beautiful plant is easy to care for and will be a thing of beauty for years to come. Each live plant is shipped with the phytosanitary certificate as required by the USDA.

This arrived on time and packaged very good. It is just what my dad wanted. It was still moist and the leaves were good. A few fell of but that is to be expected. I think that was a great price for a 3 year old bonsai. At least it makes him happy. We shall see if he can keep it alive.

We received our Bonsai in perfect condition and were very pleased. We took care of it as instructed but it shriveled up and died after a couple of months. We don’t know what happened.

Brussels Bonsai packaged my Dwarf Jade very securely. I have never seen such effort in packaging anything. It arrived in good condition.The packaging start with a styrofoam base securely anchoring the base into a cut out on the foam to prevent horizontal motion. The plant was wrapped in plastic. Several layers were applied to the pot to prevent gravel spillage.The entire plant was then wrapped completely in Styrofoam. Additional support was provided by heavy cardboard inserts preventing any vertical motion.My Dwarf Jade arrived in perfect condition. It’s 6-7 inches high with the shiny green, glossy leaves which are the signature of the Jade Plant.I’m looking forward to working on my Dwarf Jade. I hope to make it wider but not much taller. Right now, I’m reading a book on care for Bonsai.Still much to learn, but I hope to follow the Zen Buddhist principles established over a millennia ago in China and Japan. Did you know ALL living things talk if you only listen.I spent a lot of time describing the extreme lengths taken by Brussels Bonsai in packing preventing shipping damage. To me, this represents a company that cares for their plants and for customers. I was hesitant to order a Bondai online, but I would not hesitate to buy from Brussels Bonsai again.

I had ordered one of these before and it was gorgeous, arrived well-packaged and it continues to thrive and look beautiful in my office. I just received a second on I ordered and it was the complete opposite! Although it was packaged well, it arrived in really bad shape with lots of leaves and even branches that fell off. It just seems like it was tossed around so much! In addition, the ocerall shape of it is not like a round tree like my first one but more rectangular, and some of the damaged leaves and branches just looked like were like that from before shipping. In addition, it came with way too much soil! Very disappointed with this second order after the first was such a great experience. I had planned to give as a gift but will keep and see if I can help it survive instead!
