I bought during holiday and lost track of time so past 30 Day return policy with Amazon so contacted brother and they said too bad. They told me is was not using brother toners and that was the issue even though I get better print outs with the old drum. I changed the drums due to drum counter message on the printer not due to print quality. I was trying to be preemptive and I always use brother toners. I am stuck trying to fix it on my own. I can't complain. I bought my Brother MFC printer 7 years ago. It's gotten a lot of personal and business use in my home office and it's still going strong. It's never broken down. However, lately, one could see a spot here, another spot there on its prints. The new drum unit fixed that nicely. The prints look as good as they ever have. Easy to install, too.

Our brother MFC-L8850CDW had seriously declined in print quality recently. Lots of smudging and random color on prints as well as creasing of the paper. Replacing the drum unit cleaned up all the random color and replacing the fuser solved the paper creasing issue. This was a very easy swap and solved a large portion of our print quality issues.

I hope some one makes a after market one of these soon because the price on these are a little much but with Brother that is to be expected.
