cover from the DR229CL drum unit.

Gently slide the green tab to clean up the
corona wire several times.

cartridge into the drum unit.

This product is not compatible with the Brother printers it claims to be suitable for. The first cartridge only printed letters along the side of the page, and after several attempts, it failed to produce any results. The second ink cartridge wouldn't even fit properly. When I tried to remove it from the printer to reset everything, the microchip detached. Unlike the original Brother ink cartridge, which has a secure design, this one has a microchip that sticks out and is prone to coming off. As the owner of a medical clinic, having reliable printers is essential, and I had no choice but to order an authentic Brother ink cartridge to resolve the issue. Save yourself the trouble and don’t bother with this product.

I realize these cartridges are not "official" Brother products, but the price was right. They work great-- once I managed to actually get them installed. While they look almost exactly like the Brother cartridges, I found that for some reason the installation process was just short of being a nightmare. I could remove and install the authentic Brother units without an issue, but these generic cartridges were not exactly easy to fit in. Not sure what the problem was as I followed the instructions as written. None the less, I did manage to replace all 4 toner cartridges. They work great. I'll purchase again as the price is great..just wish they were easier to install.

This toner worked very well for the first 3/4 of cartridge. Once it reached 75% used the quality seemed to decline and started to get faint. I have only used 1 of 2 boxes so I will see what happens with 2nd box. Based on 2nd cartridge will determine if I buy again.
