I got this to spread 6 piston front caliper pots i have. At first when i got it i thought it was produced too cheaply. It uses these tiny thin magnets that stick on the plates for bigger calipers (6 pot). I found all the magnets and stuck on the plates and tried to move the ratched by hand. It didn't ratchet, i tried both ways, then as i was read to give up, i spun the one side closed and tried to ratchet one way, then tried the other and it started to work. So i guess it does work, just not that great and i think as long as i can get my old pads out it will be good enough. So 4 stars for now and these had the best price out of all the similar tools and this also comes with small caliper hangers which is nice. So 4 stars for now, if it fails while i do my brakes i'll report back here.
