Acymner Disc Brake Pad Spreader Usage Instructions

Positioning: Start by ensuring the inner brake pad is properly aligned against the piston. Next, position the Acymner Disc Brake Pad Spreader so that the base of the tool contacts the old pad, while the plate makes contact with the inside edge of the caliper opposite the piston.
Compression: Begin the compression process by turning the screw handle of the spreader tool. As you turn the handle, the tool will apply pressure on the brake pad, effectively compressing the piston into the bore. Continue turning the handle until the desired compression is achieved.

I’ve done disc brake pad changes for 45 years and always used a heavy screwdriver or pry bar to push back the piston. This makes life so much easier and saves a lot of hassle. Can use the knob to turn or a wrench on the hex. Do yourself a favor and buy it now.

I ordered this to replace an inexpensive one that I've used for many years and the threads finally wore out. The threads on this one are much more substantial and the plate is much thicker. The extra hex part where you can use a socket on is also a nice feature.
