There's no need to elaborate—it broke the very first time I used it.

They advertise it fits aero bars up to a certain dimension. That may be true, but on my Hyundai OEM aero bars, the claw on the front end doesn't go all the way under the bar. It seems secure, but when you add skis or boards, that constant drag and uplift may have an adverse effect on that grip, so for me it was not a suitable alternative to the old clamp designs. However, if it fits on your crossbars better, the operation of the rack is excellent considering it's price. The telescoping bottom piece makes adding and removing skis and boards a breeze and is not available on any other rack in this price range. The actual install and removal of the rack, once put together is easy. You could even just slide it on and off and in a few turns of a screw the crab claw is in. The button to open the rack is easier the more you use it.The rack itself is a great design. The crab claw is also a great idea. If they do a version 3, maybe they can figure out a way to accommodate aero bars better.

The rack itself is a nice size however it is not as sturdy as I thought it would be. No matter how tight you make it in the hutch it will still move a considerable amount. Also the pins are not easy to line up.

Opened the box to everything scratched up. Looks like it may have been a return that they gave me. Not a big deal, it will most likely get scratched up being on the road anyways. I am trying to spin the lock clockwise to get the hitch pins to come out and nothing. Unable to use this, unable to get a hold of anyone. I have tried calling numerous times. I reached out to live chat on the website where they said someone would reach out within 12 hours and nothing.

I bought this because my wife’s Toyota Highlander has no roof rack and I had a full car if people. Despite numerous people online telling me my boards would get damaged or filthy, it worked fine. Boards arrived at the resort practically as clean as when they went on. They ride securely and I never feared for their safety. The locks provided enough security so I didn’t worry when making quick stops for coffee, but I wouldn’t leave it loaded and out of sight for too long as I’m sure they are not that secure. My 2 dislikes were: 1. Loading and unloading takes significantly longer than a standard roof rack due to having to turn 4 knobs on each section. Also requires a hand on the equipment to hold so they don’t fall out when loosening the knobs. I think some kind of cam system that levers out and spreads the clamping bars at the same time would be more efficient. 2. Although the tilt feature is great, it creates a lot of looseness in the assembly and made me a bit nervous that it would pivot down during travel over rough roads. It would be nice if they took up the play in the pivot with some teflon shims or something.Overall, I’m glad I purchased it. I can now easily swap between my Highlander and my Tundra(so they don’t bang around in the bed) and even loan it to friends. If youre An “occasional skier or rider”, this will work fine. If you go up every weekend or more, you may want to go with a traditional roof rack instead.

By the third time we used it, one side had started to fall apart, the 4th time this pad completely came off. We made it work for the two more times we used it this season but this pad is no longer attached. Expected much better quality for this price level.

Was easy to assemble and fit great on the back of my Jeep. Love how sturdy it is. I also didn’t need to worry about the security of it. Everything locked, even the hitch. This is the best ski rack I have ever owned.I have a little Jeep TJ with a soft top. Didn’t want to get all the hardware to make something to put a rooftop rack on. This was the most economical choice for me and it didn’t take away from the look I want for my Jeep.Jeep lover who also loves to play in the snow. Spring skiing I go up with the top off. Topless or naked Jeep owners get it. I now have a better place for my equipment. 😎🎿🏂If you are like me with a Jeep this is a must have. ✌️

Apparently it’s a drop ship fba from China. The hitch itself is not that strong. It shakes really bad, and I didn’t want to risk driving it with 70-75mph to Tahoe. I only carried it locally for 50miles and that was ok. The key broke right away, glad I was able to still spin the lock wiht broken key inside. Definitely don’t want to risk it on highway.I had to request for a refund after used it (test it locally) twice
