The Bosch 1-1/8-Inch SDS-plus Quick Change Rotary Hammer offers the ideal combination of power, impact energy, drilling speed, and comfort. It features vibration control for superior performance, and an excellent power-to-weight ratio for fast chiseling and drilling. It also provides three modes of operation--rotary hammer, hammer only, or rotation only--and an integral clutch to make this tool more versatile. The hammer comes with auxiliary handle and carrying case.

Two-Step Vibration Control
This rotary hammer provides vibration control without compromising performance. It reduces vibrations via a two-step process, originating from the impact mechanism and progressing to the handle, which features rubber dampening elements on the top and bottom.

Excellent Power-to-Weight Ratio
Powered by an 8-amp motor, the hammer weighs 7.9 pounds and provides an impressive 2.6 ft./lbs. of impact energy.

Three Modes of Operation
The hammer offers three modes of operation. Use the multifunction selector to choose rotary hammer, hammer only, or rotation only mode. An integral clutch helps minimize torque reaction, and a 360-degree auxiliary handle further enhances project flexibility.

Variable Speed Trigger and Quick Changes for Control
For better control and accurate bit starting, the hammer boasts a variable speed three-finger trigger (0-4,000 bpm; 0-900 rpm). To save time, a quick-change system provides fast change-outs between an SDS-plus chuck and optional 3-jaw chuck (not included) for use with a wide range of accessories.

Warranty Information
The Bosch 1-1/8-Inch Rotary Hammer is backed by a manufacturer's one-year limited warranty.

A bit less powerful than I expected but still adequate to do what I wanted. It has held up very well to heavy use as I repair significant damage to a concrete building damaged by a severe earthquake.

After purchasing my first Bosch RH328VCQ In February of 2014 I too was not able to find the quick release keyless chuck. I called Bosch and they told me the chuck was not available in the USA but was available in several other countries including Europe. I then decided to search amazon.es (spain) which I had done before for foreign films and such and to my surprise there it was. I could have just ordered from there with my same user name and password as I have done before but I decided to copy the item description onto amazon.com. The item came up and I was able to order it there. The item shipped to my home in California from the UK. I was concerned the chuck may not fit as it was not for the US but it did fit perfectly. The chuck is all metal of superb quality. Here is the Link.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000R5H3IA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A28ACMVQIZOEMD&psc=1

While doing a major renovation my father recommended investing in a good SDS drill. He has owned his Bosch SDS for 12 years and it is still going strong. I wanted a Rotary Hammer and drill in one so I purchased the RH328VCQ which can change out the chuck head. If you don't need that option then just get the RH328VC and save some money. For some reason in the USA the RH328VCQ does not come with the keyless chuck adapter, while in Europe it does. I have family over the pond so I was able to order the adapter through Amazon UK for around $90.00. I have included the link here, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000R5H3IA/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= There are many companies who will ship the item to the USA. The part number is 2608572212All in all the is an awesome bit of kit, It goes through concrete like a hot knife through butter. We have used it of taking up ceramic tiles, linoleum tiles, drilling through basement walls, making holes in the slab for plumbing and fixing studs and bases plates down to the foundation. Our carpenter loves this Hammer drill and doesn't even get his Milwaukee out of his truck anymore. I would say if you are looking for something you will be using fairly regularly then go foe this model. It packs a punch and will perform most tasks with relative ease.

So far very happy, although I've only been using the hammer function. Used to take up an old tile floor (easy and fast) and also chip away at concrete in places. For this alone it has been worth it in terms of time saved.

I've used this for drilling and chipping with no problems. I would consider this work to be light to medium intensity. The drill held up fine. I can't comment on heavier duty projects but I feel that I got good value for my money compared to other drills in this class. The quick release function is a real time saver.

I had shopped for months looking for a reliable, heavy duty but not too expensive rotary hammer. Despite the somewhat confusing product descriptions, this unit also has a hammer only mode. To save a bit of money, I opted for a "used" model. Well, the unit arrived quickly and was well packaged. When I opened the container, this thing looked like it had never been touched. I had purchased this unit to drill about 40 1" holes about 6" deep into a concrete grade beam and was shocked at how well this thing worked. The vibration absorbing feature of the handle worked really well and if you are doing a lot of hammer drilling it is a great feature and keeps your hands and wrists from rattling off of your arms. The really great surprise was the hammer only mode and how well that worked. When I purchased the unit, it was not clear if it had a hammer only mode but I was able to clean up a bunch of mortar and other cementious product off a footing and nearby grade beam in a few minutes that would have taken a day or two with a hammer and hand chisel. All in all, I would give the Bosch RH328VQC a great rating. It has been used by myself and loaned to several friends and the thing is flawless and can take a beating.

This drill is one of the best things I bought online. I had a Makita HP2010 hammer drill and drilling into masonary bricks took ages not to mention the enormous amount of pressure I had to apply. Now with my new Bosch rotary hammer drill I get the job done in one tenth the time and with no aching wrists at the end of the day. This drill is also unbelievely light making drilling while standing on a ladder unbelievably easy.
