This bit has no bearing so "bear" that in mind! That means after some use, residue from the cuts can build up on the guide at the end and make burn marks on what you cut next. You can clean this with a solvent if you care, but if you did you'd probably be better off with a bearing-guided trim bit anyway.Where this shines is in general construction like framing. The pilot end allows you to plunge without drilling a hole, saving time, and the long cutting surface lets you cut OSB, plywood, fiber-cement siding, sheet rock, and other materials around window and door openings quickly and precisely.If you're going to do that a lot, here's a tip: save a small glass jelly or other jar and fill it halfway with acetone or rubbing alcohol. Store a pair of bits in there. When you take one out it will easily wipe clean of any residue, and when it starts getting gummed up you can just swap it for the other.

Used this bit in 20v dewalt router to flush cut all openings in the OSB sheeting of the house I just framed, really impressed by the speed and finished look of the cuts.

Cutting blade snapped after only 20’ of cutting. Very nice quick cut though when the blade was in 1 piece. Just not enough value for the dollar.
