Quality Bone

Our high quality bone saddles last a long time and produce excellent tone. Inexpensive, lower quality saddles are often overly porous and whitened with harsh chemicals, resulting in weak bone that does not last and produces poor tone.

Expert Support

We help you find the right saddle – length, height, thickness, radius, and compensation for your specific guitar.

For perfectly in my Yamaha Fs800.I had to sand it down quite a bit to get the saddle low enough. But this was easy and they send some sand paper with the saddle.

This bone saddle was a nice upgrade for my FG830. The included sandpaper made taking some height off a breeze and it fit perfectly. Great quality too. My guitar sounds amazing.

This after market bone saddle appears to be well made and fits into the bridge slot snuggly with no alterations except for height, which is needed to make certain string height is appropriate. Intonation remains correct as well on my 2023 Yamaha ls16m acoustic guitar.

I bought this for my Yamaha FS830. I did have to sand down the width a bit to get it to fit in the bridge slot, which was good actually as the stock saddle was loose. The second one I also had to reduce the length by just a touch. The provided sandpaper was perfect for that.I say second one because I was not as precise with my measurements as I could've been and ended up oversanding the height on the first one. I contacted MacNichol and told them as much, and asked what they recommended, and they just sent me a new one free of charge. I was much more exacting the second time and now I have exactly the action I want and it sounds lovely.

Installed in FS800.Required just a tad off the length and thickness. Required 2mm off the height just to get it to the height of the unmodified stock saddle. Then another 1.25mm to get action height to 0.09"So - start with the 9mm saddle on this guitar to save yourself a lot of tedious sanding.I bought this because I found the FS800 out of the box to be lacking in treble, especially when tuned down. I read some people complaining that a bone saddle made it too trebly and thought - that's what I need! The stock saddle also fit loosely and tended to lean over.I got the results I was hoping for - not sure if because of the material or the better fitment, but either way I'm happy.

Awesome Saddle, had to sand down to adjust the action. Fits way better than the factory plastic saddle. The original plastic saddle had a small wiggle in the slot. This bone saddle fits firmly in the saddle slot and Im sure it sends the string vibrations to the board more effectively.I noticed there is an increase of clarity on notes, and an improvement of the overall tone. Please take ur time when sanding the saddle. Do it in small increments and check ur work often.

The original LS6 saddle slopes too much at the top causing the low 6th E string to buzz. This saddle fits perfectly. Just had to sand it down to preferred height.

The bone saddle fit my Yamaha FS800 after sanding it down to almost the same height of the original guitar saddle. There were clear instructions on how to sand it down, and at one point, I thought I had went too far. I reached out to customer service and they responded right away, asking for measurements of how much I sanded it down to. They sent replacements right away and even sanded it down close to what I had gone down to. The sound quality is much better than the original plastic/urea saddle that came with my car. I would definitely recommend their product and they definitely stand behind their product with stellar customer service.

I wanted to lower the action my FS800 on the Saddle and I'm glad I went for this one. The length is perfect, the width/thickness is almost perfect, I just sanded a few very very light strokes with a 1200 grit sand paper. The height will obviously be high but it's not difficult to sand it with the included sand paper. The radius on top of the original is more curved so I aligned the high E string top and made my mark with a mechanical pencil which meant instead of reducing same amount of height from high E to low E, there was an angle. After sanding off what I intended and putting the bridge on, it was perfect! There is more sustain now, brighter sound, and most of all, I hear nuances (which is positive) that I didn't hear before changing the saddle.BTW, when I asked a question before buying, the seller has replied immediately.I am not sure if this is real bone, but it sounds like glass when dropped, and while sanding it, the dust smelled like a marble flooring being grinded (yes "grinded" is a word). This is a good buy for $15.

This is a Good Product however it is very tall so that it fits a lot of different models. This requires that you have to do a large amount of sanding. A small piece of sandpaper is also included but it is a very fine grit and is slow to use. If you have some 80 grit (coarse) paper or grinding wheel it will be much faster. Use the fine sandpaper to finish. The 75.2 mm length was perfect for my Yamaha APX500 acoustic electric guitar. Be careful not to sand off too much or you will ruin the new bridge. Why do they ship it in such a large envelope? :)
