Fits Many Alvarez Artist Series Guitars
This unbleached bone saddle fits many Alvarez Artist Series guitars. The saddle is compensated for improved intonation. The radius is set at 16 inches to match many Alvarez fretboards and improve playability.
Please note that each guitar is slightly different and your bone saddle may need adjustments to the height, length, or thickness, which you can do with the included sandpaper.

Fit like a glove! The previous owner tried to install a standard 3mm wide bone saddle and it refused to sit straight, it wouldn’t properly seat onto the pickup. Modern Alvarez use a 3.2mm wide saddle and this was shaped perfectly. It instantly fixed all the issues my guitar was having

Too much material to remove to fit slot. ADE90CEAR thickness is 0.115 inches (2.921mm) compared to this product. Sanding off thickness will reduce string height on high strings. Width is "OK". Too much modification for a new part.

I used this to replace the other replacement that was too low. If you have an under saddle B-band SYS550 pickup this is probably the better way to go as the one designed for an under saddle pickup made the action too low and the strings buzzed even with truss rod adjustments. Once I installed this and adjusted the truss rod it’s good as new. Thanks to the folks at McNicholl for making this so easy.

Great saddle!! Just a little too big for the saddle slot on my alvarez ag75ce, as it should be!!! Guitar seems more resonant and I was able to lower the action, too!

I replaced a plastic saddle with this on a 30 year old Alvarez and so glad I did. It absolutely has a crisper sound. The overall length was the same as old one but everything else needed a good sanding with paper included to fit properly. Took about 20-30 minutes and I found the best results by getting both wet and sanding in the sink with water running over my hand. Too laborious otherwise and I think the final result was a little smoother...not to mention cleaner and truer. Now I need a new nut!

I replaced the original saddle on an older concert sized guitar that had a muddy sounding mid -range. All I can say is wow ! This saddle was a near drop in with little sanding required to make it fit. It was a standard height which required a bit of sanding off the bottom that took all of 5 minutes. The difference in the sound and clear high note sustain was incredible...the mid range came in beautifully. I would highly recommend this product to any guitarist looking to improve sound. Making the saddle to your specs also improves playability. The additional advantage of bone over tusq is that it resist string grooves as it is a very hard material. Happy !

I’ve wanted to replace the saddle on my Alvarez AD80SSB acoustic guitar for some time now but didnt know where to start. I purchased a bone blank thinking I would copy the original. Eventually I ended up contacting Macnichol Guitars and they were extremely helpful and guided me towards this correct pre-made saddle. I received the saddle in two days, did very little sanding for a perfect fit. It was an identical saddle to the original. The tone and sustain improvement is AMAZING!! This turned my mid-range guitar into what feels and sounds like a $5000 guitar....seriously. Love it!
