Your cart is empty.Thread Chasers are designed to clean and re-cut damaged aluminum threads. This kit contains the two sizes most commonly on metric motorcycles, M6x1.0 and M8x1.25. Thread Chasers also remove dirt and metal shavings that become captured in the thread groove. Uses 8mm or 10mm hex socket.

These are amazing to use. Cleaned up a lot of bolt holes on a toyota oil pan. I wish they made more sizes.

Purchased this set to clean out the bolt receiver holes in my truck after a spray-in bed liner was installed. The liner material had gotten into the holes preventing bolts from being installed. Used this tool and it cleaned out the receivers with very little effort. The chaser was easier to use and safer for the threads in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Bought a Lang assortment, and also ordered these since they were only $10, maybe keep in a tool bag. The Lang chaser worked well, and this seemed to bind up more. After running the Lang instead, the bolt went in fine, and yet following with this one to compare, it still binds up. Not going to force it since the bolt works after the Lang. I'd recommend the Lang instead and not bother with these.

Cool little additon to the tool box. Specifically designed for aluminum threads. These arent as aggressive as just running a steel tap through a bolt hole. These dont remove any material. Just gently scrapes the threads clean. I use them on my LS2. Wish I had a whole set.

FIRST OFF : WOW! These guys/gals came through for me big time. Expedited shipping was a bit high for these, but i ordered Saturday night, and they were at my door by Tuesday. Perfect!2nd: It worked exactly as described. My valve cover bolt holes were gunked up and the threads were trashed. I dipped this little chaser tap in some oil, put it in the thread, backed off a hair to drop it in the thread, and then sent it on through each hole. My new bolts now thread in like a hot knife in butter.THANK YOU LONGHORN MOTO! Yall really saved me with these taps and the speedy shipping.
